pauli will open as a heavy favorite but, imo, mosely will get bet down closer to the fight, especially after the weigh-ins. this is a fight that im going to confidently middle.

the fight will be in new york so mosely will in all likelihood have to win decisively but i think he still has enough left in the tank to beat this horrible wba champion.

i do like pauli because he backs up his talk with his fists and showed incredible heart against cotto.

however, if the mosely that fought mora(who came in with a decisive weight advantage) still exists i think that version will beat the current ww version of pauli.

    http://www.***********.com/forums/view.php?pg=shane-mosley-sergio-mora-compubox

people forget that mora was a big jmw(imo, mosely beat him a sergio was holding and running and shane was trying to engage) who was only one of two people to ever beat forrest who has a solid chin that has only been put down once in his career with a questionable off-balance knockdown against vernon in the rematch.

I like it, Shane could stop Paulie IMO, he hits harder than Cano.

Malignaggi hasn't thrown flurries since way back when he fought Edner Cherry.

He throws about 50 power shots per fight these days and that just isnt good enough against the likes of Mosley

You think he is going to be able to jab his way to victory?

Mosley isnt anywhere near the fighter he used to be. But the fighters he lost against are a who's who of superstars. (Pacquiao, Mayweather, Canelo). Mora is an awkward, tricky fighter that made Mosley look bad. Malignaggi doesn't fight anything like Mora and has no way near the same size advantage as Mora had.

if mosley from the canelo fight shows up vs the paulie of the cano fight then mosley's gonna knock him out. canelo was just too big and strong for anything mosley did to matter but he put in a spirited effot..... paulie looked the worse he's looked in years vs cano whereas mosley put in his best performance in his last 4 fights.

still cheering for Paulie though, been a favorite of mine for a while, takes balls to go into gun fights with a butterknife and that's what Paulie does everytime he steps in the ring with those featherfists. Gotta love a guy who has that much courage.

I think Shane should have had to prove he deserved a big fight after his last fight against Canelo.

to put things in proper perspective here, what are the chances of pauli surviving 12 rounds against either floyd, manny, mora or canelo when mosely fought them?

i say even money that if all four fighters were going for the ko then all four fighters wouldve stopped pauli.

and you got idiots here saying that shane has no chance in this fight, even ridiculing and name-calling mosely backers in the process.

wtf has happened to this forum?

overrun by complete douchebags that couldnt handicap a six-grade playground fight.

Floyd's defense had him completely befuddled after the 2nd round.

He was on his back foot vs Pac and looking to survive

Against Canelo ,who was there to be hit, Shane was letting his hands go.

Off all the champs, this is the best pick for Mosley. I personally think sugar wins. I like the magic man but he couldn't crack eggshells with a hammer, lol. Mosley can basically let his hands go without fear of being hit back with any force. Cut off the ring and let your hands go. After this fight, retire again so the real champs don't have to make you retire again.

The size advantage didn't really help Mora IMO, it was just his cagey slipperiness and Mosley's inability to throw anything meaningful at range. I'm not saying Mosley doesn't have a shot, but Malignaggi is not going to stand there and let himself be hit. He may get caught, but not without trying to frustrate Shane with movement first. When they're at long range, Paulie will probably dominate with jabs to the head and body, while Shane's reflexes fail him time and time again.

He struggled with Mora I can see Pauli out-box him comfortably at that point

the WBA should be ashamed for sanctioning this. but then again they have no shame.
Paulie aint Danny Garcia, hes not 25 , undefeated and in his prime.

my guess is shane will be a 3-1 under dog.

well, at 3-1 one would have to be "a ****ing moron who doesnt know **** about boxing" to think that mosley doesnt have a chance of winning.

    http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=454449&page=3

after all, trout was close to a 3-1 underdog against cotto as was jmm against paquaio in their fourth encounter. in fact jmm was a +550 in their third encounter, which many people feel he won.

so please, dont come onto this forum where there are knowledgeable guys about the sport and condescedingly talk down to us because youll just be made to look like a fool.

by the way, as someone that "knows **** about boxing" my advice is to load up on mosely at the open and middle the bet as shane will go off as a +170 come fight night.

this coming from a guy that knows wtf hes talking about.

he has no chance to win, who gives a **** was vegas odds are. they are there to make money, and get money flowing. they dont even care who wins. a guy that has lost nearly 40 of the 46 rounds he fought aint gonna do **** in this fight either especially at age 41 and slow with no timing and is just happy to be in the ring getting paid at this point because he wants to touch gloves after every round. wtf are you smoking?

who gives a **** what vegas odds are?

because odds, to rational people, determine the viability and validity of a fight.

and because it shuts up people lilke you who wont back up their mouth with their money. many people are giving zab a shot and hes a +515 and youre saying mosely is going to be a +300 which would mean that you believe mosely has more of a chance than zab yet you say that "he has no chance to win." if mosely has no chance to win then he would be a +800...at least. you make little if any sense, especially with you emoticons and irrelevant fotos.

i cant discuss boxing with you as you have no logic.

i just cant lower myself to your level.
