the exact thing i was thinking, and williams says they're hard to defend too. He has a way of throwing them were they're very unpredictable. But for some reason i can see mosley winning this fight, i dont think its a total one sided fight. i could be wrong tho.
I think Shane has a good chance. All he has to do is BOX! Bang on his terms and control the distance. He has the speed and stamina (I think) to keep Marg chasing and eating counters. Of course that is easier said than done due to the fact that Mags Will and determination see him through many tough fights....but stylistically Shane isn't a good match for him....Cotto on the other hand was made for Margs mauling and relentless style.
DAMN!!! That girl in your avatar is hella THICK!! I'd lay some pipe she'd never had.......sorry to get off topic, but who is that girl?
Great post, but some fighters keep their granite chin throughout their careers. Consider that SSM has a good chin. Who's to say this won't be the fight that he becomes vulnerable?
Dumb????? Sorry?????? What are you guys thinking??????? What other fight could give Mosley as much money as a fight against Margarito????? Ok. He will lose. SO WHAT???? He will do the best he can and then go home with a lot of money. That will be his last fight. Unless a miracle happens
1. rewatch William - Margo, it was a CLOSE fight. 2. I can see your point, but there is money to be made for AM who has fought everyone they put in front of him. AM is NOT scared of PW, he will get to him in the rematch.
You contradict yourself in your own post. First Mosely is over the hill and then he has a better chance than Cotto. AM is putting a name on his resume, an ATG in some people's book. He had a tough fight against Cotto, although many people might have thought he walked away unscathed. Give him time to rest and recover before he beats down PWs lanky ass.
Dont know if this has already by metioned, but this fight is far from done. I hate when people read something and then say its done. This is an article from Steve Kim: Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions are now focused in on making a bout between WBA welterweight champion Antonio Margarito and Shane Mosley. The problem is that while it's an attractive fight, it's not really a pay-per-view caliber event, and it might be deemed a bit too pricey to land on HBO's Championship Boxing. "It all depends on HBO; HBO has to come up with an appropriate amount that satisfies both fighters and they haven't done that to date," said Arum, who was in East LA, along with Richard Schaefer, as they concluded their national press tour for De La Hoya-Pacquiao. "I'd love to see that fight happen, but I'm not going to lose money doing the fight and neither is Schaefer." He would add, "I think it would be a very, very marginal pay-per-view and very risky to do it on pay-per-view given this economy. If this fight were to take place, it would occur in late January in between the weeks of the NFL Championship Games and the Super Bowl, most likely in Las Vegas. Schaefer would say, "I haven't really sat down with Shane, but there's no reason for me to sit down with Shane before I have an idea where we are with the numbers. And right now, based on indications Ive gotten from Bob and talking to HBO and looking at the other revenue sources, I think it's going to be rather challenging. It's not impossible to get this fight done." Mosley had made it very clear in the past that he wanted 'the Tijuana Tornado'. "I'm going to sit down with Shane and see what he wants. He obviously wants the Margarito fight but there are other fights out there. I know Shane would fight a Paul Williams - the guy who beat Margarito. So there are other fights out there," said Golden Boy's CEO.
A couple questions, do you believe that Margarito was the biggest for Floyd at that time? I am just talking about his style in the ring. Not what has he accomplished in the division just the style. How is not the same since Floyd turned down money to face Margarito since he knew it was the biggest threat for him? Again I am talking styles in the ring not what has he accomplished in the division. I link it as Margarito is turning away from a challenge right now just like Floyd did to secure bigger fights for himself down the road. For Floyd it was Judah, Hatton, and of course DLH. For Margarito its Mosley, Cotto rematch, and he hopes one day DLH. :think :thumbsup
