Mosley vs. Margo in talks for January!!!!!

margaritio seems like the safe choice...but i went with mosley since, well......he's mosley, and i'm sure if he's gonna fight margarito he must know something i don't, so who know's maybe he can pull out a decision

also you have to consider that he does have the chin to last 12 rounds with margarito, so he doesn't have to worry about getting stopped like cotto did, who know's maybe he can do it??

Mosley will be severely battered . . . Mosley might have a field day in the early rounds just like Cotto . . . but Margo having a solid chin will survive it and from 7th to the 12th round . . . it will be all Margo.

Margo is a very slow starter . . . so I'm figuring out that just when Mosley is spent past the mid rounds that's the time that Margo will be in full charge.

T/KO or decission it's Margo.

. . . the saddest part is I like both fighters. :yep :huh

This fight is pretty much close to done, they just have to work on the numbers and the date is set. Margarito will fight Cotto after this one in June.

 

I think the Oscar-Hatton,Oscar-JMM, fights were classics personally.:bart :nut

 

Mosley wins a great fight but it will not be as close as some think

 

This is an unbelievably interesting fight for many reasons...


1. Antonio Margarito could hurt mosley...bad...A Margarito KO is a strong possibility (he's KO'd his opponent 9 of last ten times). Shane has never been KO'd in his epic career.

2. Antonio Margarito is seen as this mythical beast with unlimited energy, stamina, endurance, relentlessness, pressure, strength etc. That said, he is beatable. And if mosley were to beat him (which i think is a strong possibility), Shane's storied career would add an extraordinarily unexpected chapter.

But by fight time it will be OVER a year ago.A long time for a 37 year old who has just had a hard fight with Mayorga.
Margo will be fighting an even older version of a guy who (narrowly)lost a very tough struggle with a guy who Margo overwhelmed.
This wont be pretty,watching the aging Shane trying to fend off a non stop threshing machine.Shane will get damaged,whether its on points or not.

This fight does nothing good for me.Its Wrong.

There are rumors going around that it might be Sebastian Lujan. I would much rather he take Berto's WBC belt or even Clottey which no one seems to want including Williams.

Mosley/Margarito is probably the biggest money fight either men can make right now so it'll probably happen.
