The only bad thing is no Pavlik vs Mayorga fight:dead And Mora loses two big pay days as boy Mayorga and Mosley would have been good opponents for the latin Snake:|
and at what weight will this fight take place at?? mayorga cant make 147, and will struggle to make 154 imo. anyways weight aside mosley will more than likely ko mayorga in the mid to late rounds, mayorga has taken a lot of heavy shots and mosley certanly packs a hell of a punch.
Mayorga is past it and his punch resistance is not what it used to be. I suspect the much fresher Mosley gives him a beating and probably stops him, this would have been a better fight 5 years ago.
Would rather have seen Mosley against Paul Williams or another player at 147, but I can understand why they'd do this. This is very weak sauce as a PPV, though, especially considering that the bout is likely to be at one of the worst divisions (154) in boxing. Also, this statement was interesting: "It's a better fight for Ricardo than some of the other fights out there for him." I think that's probably a reference to the Jermain Taylor fight. That's one less opponent for Jermain, and chances are that Jeff Lacy will be fighting for that high six-figure payday versus Taylor when he fights on ESPN2 next month.
