To initially judge someone based on nothing more than race is racism, period. If someone said "I like this person more because they're the same color as I am and the other person is different" how could that be construed as anything other that racism? If I were to say I hope Kelly Pavlik beats the **** out of Sergio Martinez because Pavlik is white and Martinez is Argentinian, what would that make me? ****ing racist.

    You're amplifying the issue.
People rooting for people with similar background and looks is COMPLETELY biological.

Humans have done it for as long as we've existed. It's natural.

I'm not saying "**** mexicans" i'm saying "hey, I hope the dude I can relate to does well"

Can't take this face off's seriously when it comes to Floyd. Talks all that **** then puts on good performances but takes no risks and is night and day from the bull**** he talks. Yet some people still get fired up. :S.

Floyd - "I don't read magazines, I don't read books" LOL, no ****, we can see that.

Mayweather is very confident. Mosley will KO PBF with one lucky punch.

I think Mosley hit it on the button. Floyd does care about his legacy, but he equally cares about money. At this point in his career he should care less about money and more about legacy seeing that hes already rich beyond measure. Im just happy that hes facing the best welter out there and after this I pray that him and pac can come to terms, assuming he beats mosley which i think he will.

Floyd's style is all wrong for Mosley. I think he may embarrass Mosley, but I hope I'm wrong.

Is floyd really the biggest star in boxing?

I don't buy that "took oscar's place" business, because really, Pacquiao is the one everyone is talking about.

Being able to relate to a persons life or circumstances is one thing, but that's not always directly tied to race. I'm saying that to see two people and decide who you like more or less based on nothing more than race is racism. If you want to root for a person because that had a similar back-ground to you, or grew up in similar circumstances that's fine, but a poor white guy could relate more to a poor Mexican than he could a rich white guy. People who are the same race or nationality are more likely to have more in common, but not always. I'm from Alaska, if some Alaskan fighter was fighting some guy from Puerto Rico, I would reserve judgments on who I liked more until I actually knew something about both the people. Race and nationality don't decide what kind of individual a person is going to be, and people should be judged as individuals, not as members of a certain race or country.

Good for you. Sorry you don't understand the human psyche.
People gravitate to the people they can relate to the most.

    It's just a fact.

I think the fact that floyd still has his "0" is the reason hes the biggest star in boxing. Yea everyone is talking about Pac because ppl like him. But i think at the end of the day more ppl are gonna be willing to pay to see mayweather just to see if he will lose. The fact that Mayweather vs Marquez did so well speaks volume because that was more of a mismatch than Pac vs Clottey but ppl just wanna see if this is the time that Mayweather finally loses. Hes the biggest star/villian
