A million dollars ain't "set for life" money, friend. It's barely even "middle class for a decade" money.
are you kidding me? didn't you hear floyd say he bets more on football in weekend than mosley makes. i'm sure mosley spends his money as well. they are accustomed to certain way of living. but mark my words, twenty years from now mosley will live a very comfortable life and pbf will be rooming with iran barkley, and leon spinks.
a million dollars would get you a nice decent house with about three bedrooms, two baths, in a respectable neighborhood, but nothing spectacular. i live in northern california. san francisco bay area.
Thats just plain stupid...who else does Mosley have? He wants money and he can't fight anyone else for what he would make taking 40% against Floyd... If he uses that kind of ass backwards logic then he screws himself out of a big fight and would have to wait to make 35% against Pac...and there is no guarantee that Pac will win...anything could happen... It goes both ways...
yea no fight and instead of making 7-8 million with 35-40% he can go make 2-3 million against someone else.
Please post a link where Mosley said he'll take 35% for the PAC fight. The lowest I can find is 40%. And I've stated that 40% would be a good purse for Mosley but Mosley should push for a 50/50. If this falls through, who is there left for PBF. You guys talk as if Mosley is the only one with limited options. They both are. Hell if this doesn't get made I'll bet anything Pac fights Mosley before he does PBF from the bad blood. So that leaves PBF out in the cold. His fight with Mosley means more to PBF then it does Mosley.
Its a contract...there really isnt a such thing as "fair"...only idiots perceive logic as nuthugging... Floyd is a bigger draw...maybe saying that is nuthugging in your simple book but it is a fact...typically the "draw" gets a bigger percentage in boxing. Those are just plain facts... Mosley knows that as well...even tho you don't and will not get 50%...Just like he accepted 35% against Pac. Same way Floyd couldnt demand 50% against DLH to be "fair" Common sense goes a long ways...you should invest in some...
I've stated 40% is a good purse but the notion of anything lower is wrong. Mosley should ask for 50/50. Lets not just talk about Mosley here. What else is PBF going to do? Seriously. Who is he going to fight that the public will watch if bith his biggest fights fell through. People are forgetting this.
No where did I post that contracts are far. I stated that Mosley should ask for 50/50 cause PBF has limited option. Your the one who brought up a stupid logic. Everyone knows 50/50 is as high as Mosley can get. The arguement is for Mosley to get a far shake in the deal. And in this fight he has more then his say in how much eh can get. Who else is PBF going to fight if both his biggest fight falls through? And if both PBF and Mosley comes calling to Pac in the fall who do you think will get the fight. So where does that leave PBF?
There is nothing wrong with "pushing" for more...of course pushing and realistically expecting are two different animals... Honestly I dont feel like looking around for the 35% against Pac...I could be mistaken. Thats very possible...Floyd and Mosley have the same options so they are basically in the same boat...Only whatever opponent Floyd fights he will make more money than Mosley will fighting a similiar opponents. That gives Mosley just as much incentive to make the fight with Floyd... Not to mention if he fights Floyd and wins then all roads lead to Mosley...and he will be the top guy in the division... Make sense? So he needs this fight for his career just as much for Floyd because imagine where a win over Floyd will put him? :good So you can't just say one guy needs this fight...or one guy needs the fight more...because a legitimate case can be made for either fighter needing the fight most...
