To any and all posters here with half a ****ing brain it is comments like this that make you wonder who the **** is actually teaching these so called fans how to score...

Out boxing him from the opening bell are you on ****ing drugs man? seriously the opening bell? get the **** out of here, you need to learn what the **** boxing is, how its scored perhaps start in the amatuers as a ring side official go to a few clinics and learn, if anything you should learn what a clean effective shot is...

Seriously I am not kidding when I tell you this go educate yourself.... Take Big Bone with you....

I've never subjected myself to scoring Mosley-Mora, but this strikes me as completely correct. The idea that there is some kind of bias against aggressors is completely laughable when it comes to US judges. Effective punching should always be the decisive factor for determining who wins each round. Aggression, ring generalship, and defense should not be weighed equally alongside effective punching but instead should be used as tiebreakers when two fighters are largely equal according to the latter criterion.

Shane is a great fighter. I just think he might have slowed down too much for Pacman and Mayweather caliber fighters. The Mora fight showed how he has slowed. Mora would have been an easy fight for the younger Mosley, and to be honest Pacman would not beat a young Mosley. That would have been a tough fight for Pacman. Everytime he would have made any move Mosley would have countered him and worked the body and stopped him in the late rounds. What Shane has to do in this fight is what I am not sure he can do.
To beat Pacman he has to fight busy and work the body and come upstairs later in the fight once the body punches start to wear out Manny. When and if he gets Pacman on the ropes is the key. That left hook for Shane is the key, not the right which he hit Mayweather with. For Shane to win he has to work the body like he never has before... body body body.. If he can do it he will win. Once Manny gets tired from body punches then Shane can start to land big punches in the later rounds like 8 or 9th round. I give Shane a chance if he works the body like he never has. He works the body early, then later his left hook to the head and uppercuts will work. There is a chance. Pacman is great, but everyone is susceptible to a good body punch if it lands enough times. No matter who it is, and Shane is bigger and strong inside.

This is the criteria in which to score a fight, and you can not argue that Mora was landing all clean effective shots, they were mostly contact shots, no doubt he did crack mosley with alot of good solid shots, but for the first half of the fight he didnt do ****, and the 2nd half he didnt do much neither....
this was a Ruiz style fight on behalf of Mora and in no way will I ever reward that, in no way will I ever call that effective boxing...

I don't know if you're disagreeing with me or not, but my point was that clean, effective punching is the criterion, and should always be given priority over the other three. Like I said, I don't know how applicable this is to Mosley-Mora, but the idea that someone should win simply because he appears to be throwing more or being more aggressive is ridiculous if his opponent is consistently landing cleaner shots.

I agree clean effective punching should carry the weight of who wins each round, but come one dude, from rounds 1-6 I had only given Mora 1 round, I mean seriously in the 5 rounds that Mosley did take in that first half, no way did Mora land clean effective shots..... and he sure didnt do that the last six, he did land clean shots no doubt...

But again like I stated earlier a contact shot though it lands clean does not mean it should be counted as a scoring blow.... I am sorry but I just cant get myself to lie and say Mora was landing clean effective punches through out the night...
I could only find three or four rounds to give to Mora, honestly and some where close enough to just score them even.

My question is, if both fighters are not landing much, but you have one fighter comming forward, driving the other man to the ropes trying to fight and the other fighter in retreat, off balance, putting his head down and tying up the other fight who should get credit for that round?

I always say the one who tried to make it a fight the one who actually used some form of
    boxing...

Now with this specific fight, tuff to score because its so hard on the eyes, Mosley ended up letting his defense go so he could get Mora to throw more shots so he could get his off it was that bad.

Mora should be ashamed of himself for that performance in his own back yard....
again I am posting this to all of those who made a big deal out of this fight and claimed either it was a draw or mora beat Mosleys ass, that is the furthest thing from reality regarding this fight and I wouldnt be shocked of those who argue that, didnt watch the entire fight, or was more focused on other things in their homes during the rest of that fight.... the fight was that ugly...

bottom line here, if some of you really want to snap your fingers and point to this and that, seriously go to your local LBC, submit an application, become an amateur judge, attend a few clinics, this will show you what an effective blow really is.... you will then have a better understanding and know the difference between a contact shot and a scoring blow....

who cares who won really. its was a bad matchup , and it wasnt a shock, when you're talking about a boring boxer like mora. if mosley wasnt so old, he should have handled mora but then again he was never great at 154.

Good point about 154 didnt take that into account, but still well **** it your right, Mora is no different than a fighter like Ruiz, they are hard to look good against....

But just cus your style is ****ed up doesnt mean you won the fight neither...

I had 7-5 for Mora based on clean and effective punches. Mosley did not land ****.
    This fight looked like Dirrel-Froch.

when you look at it, typically, people like to score a close fight for the guy who wasnt expected to win. its like they give extra credit to the underdog for making it close but that dosent mean they deserved the victory. the outcome wasnt really indicative of how good mora but how bad mosley was due to age, fighting at 154 and fighting a boring fighter like mora. niether man dominated, so there was no clear winner, therefore, if you score mora, or scored it for mosley, you not really wrong. but there was nor robbery here.

I can see where your comming from, but you still have to have a valid reason why you scored one round for a specific fighter, and it doesnt make sense anybody could argue that Mora outboxed Mosley from the opening bell... I mean seriously, I would be ashamed to show my face round here if I beleived that... honestly

your right, how exactly did mora outboxed mosley for most of the fight? he spent most of the time running. he landed more effective blows but was it so much so, that it warrants a DECISIVE victory? nah.
