I think Mosley did enough to get the W BUT C'mon man, Mosley has been showing signs of Decline since 05, lost to Cotto, and is 39 yrs old FFS.
I thought Mosley edged it in a very dull fight. He looked all 40 yrs & Mora looked like the over hyped fighter that he is. He certainly doesn't fight like a mexican thats for sure.
I never said Mosley isn't in decline. The notion that he is "washed up" or "shot" is overblown and absurd, however. If Mosley was THAT far gone he never would have gotten the win last Saturday.
why not? We're talking about Sergio Mora here not some world beater and like I showed you not even Mora at his best. The way I see it getting a disputed draw in that fight is a sign that he should hang em up or at least reconsider fighting at the upper echelons of the sport.
see this is the thing, if it reallis because pacman is literally just that good, then we really do have one hell of a fighter in our sport. clottey was good vs judah, he was also far too big for judah to handle.
Pacman is one helluva fighter. I don't think Clottey would ever win against Pacquiao but he was just trying to survive for the most part.
thats the thing, clottey had just gone neck and neck with cotto. he had just beaten judah. he was a solid top 5 WW. and pac had him "trying to survive" it is a very great victory in my books.
Clottey looked suspiciosly passive against Pac even when he did land he would make sure not yo do it again for a round or two
I'm not saying it wasn't a good victory but I get annoyed when fighters don't at least try to win. You're right on the part that it could've been that Pacquiao nullified his already not-so-high workrate too. Just tried to watch Judah-Clottey, my computer keeps lagging videos:fire.
Lol, it's doing better now as I shut down my computer 5 minutes ago and am switching between watching Basilio-Gavilan and seeing threads on ESB. I like to multi-task.
