Mosley is fighting Mora on Sept 18. Looks like Berto had a chance to fight Mosley on Sept 18, but he demanded 50/50 split and lost out.

Hmm i dont know how this one will play out mosley does bad against slick guys and hes faded , but mora hasnt looked good either recently , i hope its a good fight , berto would have been a much better choice and it would have been for a belt , maybe shane is cashing out ala no 50 50 split

It seems , on paper, like the worst possible matchup for Mosley at this point in his career. Mora is taller, longer, has ridiculous hand speed, good agility and a great jab. His only problem is that he's feather-fisted. Mosley had better be careful with this guy or we could have another one sided decision loss on our hands. Angulo would have been a much better choice stylistically but maybe he wants to build up a rematch between himself and Cotto for the belt at 154. Who knows with Mosley?

I don't think Mora will be able to discourage Mosley with his lack of power, but Mosley isn't gonna look good in the fight...I dunno. I don't like it.

....I would really rather see Cotto-Mosley again.
I liked Cotto's preformance vs Foreman.

Yes, and Mora is Foreman x 10 so Mosley had better not take this guy lightly.

    Fun fact
Add to this the "Vernon Forrest" factor...
Mora has something Mosley does not.
A win against the "Viper". RIP champ.

This fight is a great test to see if Mosley still got it. I believe he does and fighting Mora who is not as skilled as Mayweather, but has great speed is a worthy opponent. Speed and reflexes are the first to go for a aging fighter, so will see how much Mosley still possess.

Maybe I'm being biased here, or just underestimating Mora, but I'm pretty sure Mosley even at 45 years old could still ko Mora.

To me, even with Mora having a win over a faded Viper, Sergio just isn't in the same league as Sugar. Even with the age difference.

    We will see soon enough.

i would have liked to see him face Berto....why did he feel deserved 50/50?:bart

Mosley is by far the more established fighter AND paid his dues to the sport....anyone agree witht he 50/50 purse split he asked for?

Strange fight. I always assumed that berto and mosley would agree to the same terms that almost led them in the ring in Janurary.

Doesn't make much sense to me.
