If Shane Mosley and Ike Quartey had fought at WW who wins that one prime for prime?

Ike Quartey... Forrest showed you what a consistent thudding Jab will do to Mosley, he showed us twice, then Winky showed us 2 more times for good measure

Thats a hard one, Quartey's jab alone would give Mosley all he could handle similar to what Rivera who was a lesser fighter than Quartey did at spots, i think Quartey would build an early lead fighting behind his ATG jab Mosley would come back in the second half of the fight when Quartey known for having stamina issues and for fading late in fights starts to slow down, the fight would pretty much be even by the championship rounds where the fresher Mosley manages to outwork the dead tired Quartey to earn a hard fought split decision win in a classic.

I would pick Shane by close decision. Mosley's prime was at 147 not 154 so I wouldn't talk about the Winky's fight. It would be a great fight though IMO.

Ike would win on account of his great jab.

Mosley would win this as he was willing to take more risks and would in all likelihood drop Ike once or twice along the way, which would be the difference.

Il accept this version. OR what even more possibly happens is Quartey does enough to win it by a round or even 2. And the judges give a split decision to Shane.

Quartey was an absolute beast at peak, I think he'd win on points & look good doing it.

Mosely might be a little quicker but wouldnt enjoy any other physical advantages, Ike was slicker & happier on the back foot, plus he had that tremendous jab. Mosely had trouble with elite jabs & he'd be up against the best Ive ever seen

    Peak Mosley was at 135.

Quartey is a horrible style for him, but pre Forrest, Sugar Shane is active enough and threw enough combinations to just about nick it on the score cards.

Yea I'd go with this. In close quarters Mosley mauls Ike, but at a distance Ike would build a lead. Ike had heavy, heavy hands, but Mosley's hooks would get there first. Ike dropping Mosley would be a big possibilty as well. SD for Mosley, but even closer than Oscar vs Ike.

Guys come on Quartey was probably may favourite fighter in the late 90's . I thought he beat Oscar , but lets not forget how sweet Shane was.

Shanes output and speed wins a clear but entertaining fight .

Ike had a monster jab....but it wasnt like Winkys or Vernons....his was more of a power shot that lacked the speed and precision they had on theirs. Plus they had a serious height advantage. I think Mosleys speed and combos would carry the day....would have been great to watch. I just think mosley is faster and Ikes right hand didnt have much on it relatively speaking.
