Interesting match up. I've only seen the Williams fight and not Quintana's with Cotto, but it would seem that speed and power isn't something Carlos can deal with. In Mosley, he has more speed and arguably more power to deal with.
Mosley UD Quintana can pose problems with his slick style, counterpunching, and boxing skills. Quintana probably wins the early rounds when he's at his best, but begins to fade. Mosley takes over, with his superior speed and power, getting the better of Carlos down the stretch.
I think cq can do well if he can bring some stamina to the fight, and at this stage of moselys career. Cq could probably pull off a ud, but only if carlos can come in condition for 12. if not i smell a ko for mosley.
Cant say yet, Quintana hasnt hit his prime yet. He' just comeback and looked excellent. He admitted he had some things he wanted to correct. Right now vs SSM Prime? = SSM Close UD:good I'm going to wait and see where Quintana ends up. If he focus's, he could beat many a WW and make a mark. Perhaps a Cotto rematch someday where he could redeem himself. That's not happening soon though and it shouldnt. PBF vs Cotto is THE #1 Fight at WW. Carlos just accomplished something but there's more to do BEFORE a PBF or Cotto Winner.
Boxing is the most fickle sport in the world. Before the Williams fight, everybody would be saying Mosley by early KO.:rofl
I picked Quintan to beat Williams, also picked him to beat Cotto, and to Win over Julio. Fickle aint ME:nono
I'm sorry I like Paul Williams (although think he's a middleweight) but he hits like a girl at 147. Mosley hits at least three times as hard as him. Mosley takes over in the late rounds and possibly KO's Quintana.
Nothing like mis reading this thread, then looking at Rafael's piece about the CURRENT DISCUSSIONS Its a close fight. I do believe that Quintana can pull it out, but it'll be close. Quintana will have to be 100%. Mosley's combo's will be more accurate than Williams. I give SSM credit for the effort he put forth against Cotto. He's still a TOP FIGHter and I favor him in HIS PRIME to what Quintana is right now. Beating SSM would certainly be another big fight.
