Well **** not me. Ive picked Mosley over Tszyu for years. Honestly... Tszyu just didnt have the heart to beat Mosley. The guy fell apart the two times in his career in which he faced real adversity.
Go back and rewatch the fight, the second round was Kostya easily even the commentators agreed.Kostya was just getting his range in the first,Zab landed nothing with any power on it. And it was a 2 punch knockout, both not quite flush but good enough to finish the job.Seriously have you even watched the fight?I dont believe you have.:huh Left jab set it up,followed by big right hand that had him seeing stars and then a big right put him flat on his back. The lelf jab straight right combination that ****ed him up is as fast and as sweet as you'll see from a boxer.
'Well **** not me. Ive picked Mosley over Tszyu for years. Honestly... Tszyu just didnt have the heart to beat Mosley. The guy fell apart the two times in his career in which he faced real adversity.' I disagree...in fact, I think its the absolute opposite. The Phillips fight he ate powershots from Round 1 and despite his corner telling him to stop brawling and also being hurt in the fight he just tried to blow Phillips out and walked into a killer shot that finished him on his feet. No shame there...and definitely nothing to do with heart. He just got arrogant. The Hatton fight ... how anyone can question the guys heart is beyond me. Tszyu was completely gassed by round 5 and stuck it out for another six brutal, ball smashing rounds. The fight should have been stopped in Round 10 ... and his post fight comments were as sportmans and honest as you'll hear. Taking another meaningless round of punishment does not equal heart. I have nothing but respect for Tszyu's actions and heart in both those fights. Having watched nearly all fights of both fighters...Mosely has been more consistent over the course of his career, whilst I see Tszyu as having bursts of brilliance with some other headscratchers. But it's Tszyu at his best that is as impressive as anyone you'll see including Mosely. And Tszyu owned 140...he could not have fought at 147...too small. Still you have to favour Mosely because of this ... but there isn't a guarantee because at 140 Tszyu is always going to be trouble. It's a very close competitive fight. I think the Tszyu that turned up against Gonzales can beat Mosely.
atschatschatschatschatschatsch Fell apart? U fool. I do agree Moeley probably would win a close fight.
Good point. Two of the speediest fighters he ever faced were destroyed early by Tszyu.. and they were slick southpaws at that! So speed alone probably won't win Shane the fight.
It would have made me sick to watch this fight if instead of going straight to 147 Shane stopped by 140 to take on Tszyu - They were my two favourite fighters at the time and had been for a while. I could see them splitting a bunch of fights - Everyone that underates KT always says he's too in love with his power and never boxed much - They were probably watching Gatt Ward I the same night KT boxed Ben Tackie's ears off and never bother to watch any of KT's amatuer fights. Mosley and KT would have been awesome - I can't pick a winner.
