His corner should have stopped it.

I thought Shane looked like he felt hopeless, but I could be wrong.

Either way, a 40 year old man does not deserve to get beat up like that, let alone a guy that brings his heart like Shane Mosley.

Can we not forgive him for getting old? It happens to us all.

I doubt anybody in his corner or any of his people would be willing to take that sort of punishment, so why did they let him?

It was a sad day for boxing and I really hope that Shane recovers.

That will take its course. You don't however step in as a "ignorant" third party and make a decision like that.

What if Shane collapsed? What if Shane blacked out? Who's fault would it be? What "lesson" would have been "learned"? By Nady? By Boxing? Would Nady have felt the responsibility to feed, cloth, and guide SSM's children to manhood? Would Nady have wiped Shane's Parkinson's riddled a$$? You know the answer to all these questions. "Well I just thought/felt... Have a nice life."

There ain't crap "easy" about Boxing. A corner is the ONLY authority on keeping a fighter in that ring. Unless Nady had a medical professional consult with Shane's corner? That was complete nonsense. You do NOT do that crap. At that point it IS just human **** fighting. :bart

Granted, we do not know if this happened so I do give Nady some wiggle room.

He didnt look good prior to that either 2 back to back losses against Forrest, a questionable win over DLH in the rematch 2 more back to back losses against Winky
Then the Vargas fights in which the first one well you will probably focus on the 2nd one, then you have the Cotto loss, then you have the Mayorga struggle and bam out of no where in California the Margarito fight.

you have to remember as well he had time to clean his system out after that, he was set to face Berto then the earth quake in Hatti happened from there he signed for the Floyd fight.

Bottom line I think he has been doing this **** for a very long time

That is the blessing and curse of being independent contractors. Don't blame the man for the failures of promotional teams. He is only being paid as much as the promoters think he is worth on Alvarez' resume.

The forgotten victim here is Alvarez. He EARNED a stoppage. He beat Shane into submission. He was the one robbed here. His KO percentage should be higher and he should be the man known to have ended Shane's career by making him quit. Instead he has a weak UD.

Imagine had the ref decided Sonny Liston could finish the fight and he eventually did?

Again I dont really feel sorry for him your talking to a wall here like I said Mosley should have taken notice last time out the last few times out that he simply can no longer pull the trigger.

Nady did me a favor, did Mosley a favor we may disagree with it now but you had better believe that Shane isnt going to be calling Oscar for another fight any time soon....

    I know I am.

Who cares. He victim here is Alvarez. He was robbed of his stoppage by a ref who doesn't know what it is like to be in there fighting.
