That makes A LOT of sense, because they have never fought before and we don't know the outcome and because SMM is looking better than ever while Cotto is looking like **** lately :happy

Not suicide. First Cotto fight was close and Alvarez has many flaws. Probably wouldn't win either at this stage but he's dangerous enough to make it interesting.

Mosley is pretty much done and is most likely going to end up as a name on a young fighters resume. He could still have moments in the ring so you'd still have to be careful with Mosley but he is absolutely done as any kind of top fighter. There is probably no way Cotto does a rematch, unless he loses his next fight or two but I guess a Margarito rematch or a Paul Williams fight could be possible.

I think he probably ends up taking on a young guy an either 147 or 154. I don't think he is tied up with a promoter right now so he could end up facing any young guy from those weights. At welterweight he could end up facing the Ortiz-Berto winner of Mike Jones if he beats Bailey for the title-that would actually be a reasonable first defesne for Jones.

At 154 I'd imagine Alvarez would be a possible opponent or maybe even Kirkland but I'd hate to see Mosley take a Kirkland fight, that could be rough. Maybe Angulo will look at Mosley to bounce back in, that could be an interesting fight with the Angulo/Margarito comparisons and no one knows how Angulo will come back after his last fight. Mosley might make another payday or two before he hangs them up but thats about all he'll accomplish this time around. With his style and heart I would just hate to see Mosley get hurt, he seems to be on his way to becoming the next Holyfield.

The dude,is no where near where he was in that first Cotto fight.

He hasnt looked remotely like himself since the first couple of rounds of the Mayweather fight.

I think Mosley could beat either one of them. Cotto has lot a lot since the time he beat Mosley and he barely beat Mosley when he won. Alvarez I see getting knocked out as he offers nothing that Mosley hasn't seen and beaten.

    Alvarez is like another Vargas.

Cotto barely won the first time. Not everyone believes he won the first fight and I'm in the camp that believes Mosley won but it was close enough that it could have gone either way.

Alvarez offers nothing but payday and hype. He has power but nothing like Pacquiao and nothing Mosley can't take. He's not very fast or technical either.

I think Mosley would knock Alvarez out unless he's completely shot. And I think he can beat Cotto but it's 50-50 depending on who is in better condition that night and depending on the strategy.

  8. This guy just needs to bore off. He has no jab, loses all his big fights, and is a steroid cheat.

That would be great for fans. A slugfest between Alvarez and Mosley would be WONDERFUL.

Why wouldn't you want this fight? It has FOTY written all over it.

It may be a better fight than expected but Alvarez is young and hungry while Shane is a relic on his way out with a limited boxing IQ(he has his moments hence Wright 2 & Collazo). I doubt he takes Alvarez' power and Alvarez would not carry him. On the other hand, would Alvarez take Shane's power? Still Alvarez deserves to be the favorite and Shane doesn't have his heart anymore for the sport. He just fights for money now.

What?lol Even Shane admitted he lost that fight though it was close(I think he admitted that he won it too in some other interview though, weird). I like Shane but he lost that fight clearly. I don't believe you're serious.

To be fair Shane matches up well against Alvarez, obviously Alvarez wouls have to be favourite but its not as if he's unhittable and it's not as if Mosley doesnt hit hard enough to dent Saul. At this point Mosley struggles with movement and speed, Alvarez has reasonable speed but does not move much. I'd actually love to see this matchup:smoke
