So which is it? I gotta give credit to Floyd for a great performance, but Shane looked like a shell out there. He refused to pull the trigger. Even in round 3 after that great round 2 where he rocked Floyd, Shane was just not throwin.. gassin all over the ring after just 3 rounds..

Based on what I watched tonight, I think even Berto would've beaten Shane if the Berto vs Shane fight had been made. I hear that fight may still happen.

    It's not even a question.

Nothing Floyd did made Shane tired after six minutes. I'd like everyone to acknowledge these facts.

The correct answer is a little bit of both. I thought I'd see some proper infighting out of shane today, but I was sorely disappointed. He was stingy with his right hand, didn't throw hooks and uppers like he should have been, and didnt move his head and feet well at all. First couple of rounds, he did a great job exchanging lefts.... But that's not exactly a viable plan for a full fight against someone with a jab like mayweather.

Shane lost to Cotto, he got outboxed. Looked bad vs Mayorga. Everyone was fooled by the Margo fight. Shane's shot.

Inactivity was more of his death than age.

Mosley is not shot theres a difference between shot and being well past your prime.

And that inactivity has nothing to do with his age?

He looked shot. And it wasn't anything that Floyd was doing for the first half of the fight. Shane just couldn't pull the trigger. He had nothing behind his punches and he was slow. He looked every bit like a shot fighter.

Honestly how is a guy known for his intensity and old-school stamina, run out of gas after 3 rounds and people claim that Floyd did it to him. This is father-time finally making himslef known to Shane. At 38, he went at it longer than most fighters and it finally caught up as it does to everyone.

I HATE saying this because I'm not some Mayweather basher, and I have a lot of respect for him (and DO think he's a supremely gifted and great fighter)...but Shane looked very old physically. Very old.
