Mosley will never get a chance to fight Mayweather

I can understand Mosley not having wanted the fight in the late 90's. Floyd's risk-reward ratio wasn't nearly as favourable then as it later became, and a move up to WW to fight a prime DLH made a lot more sense.
Mosley should have taken the fight in 2006 though, but instead he complained about a loose tooth and Mayweather ended up fighting Carlos Baldomir in a snoozer. Then it was too late and Mosley had to step aside for his boss to fight Mayweather.
And i agree, he blew a Mayweather fight for good when he lost to Cotto. Quite a shame, really.

 

That was recent. It was the post-fight interview for either Vargas II or Collazo where he said he wanted to take some time off and schedule a dentist appointment before thinking about his next fight.

 

It was Vargas 2. Mayweather alreay had a November date, which left 4 or 5 months of time to prepare, and there was no opponent yet. It was THE opportunity for Mosley to step in, but he said no, let Floyd go ahead and fight Margarito or something, and we can meet up after that.
Larry Merchant then asked him if that wouldn't interfere with the plans of his boss (DLH), since everyone already knew the wheels were being set in motion for PBF-DLH. Mosley avoided the question..........
AND IT STILL PISSES ME OFF!! I WANTED TO SEE THAT DAMN FIGHT!!!!

Mosley said on NATIONAL TV he had a toothache:!: and he missed his family and wanted to go on Vacation....:-(

Mayweather is P4P # 1 in the world why out of all the fighters in the world it is the big bad :yikes Sugar shane Mosley that he is afraid of?:huh

 

The only chance I see Mosley having to fight Mayweather would be this: Say Floyd vs Cotto is made for early '09, If Cotto beats Floyd then Floyd. Then Floyd might take on Mosley before rematching Cotto, but other than that.....we will never see that fight.

 

Mosley has pass twice on the opportunity to fight Floyd ..

 

This goes on to show one more time who really doesn't want to fight. The same old argument used countless times... You had a chance and now you don't, no matter what you do. There was another thread saying the same thing about Margarito - even if he beats everybody, he has zero chances of fighting Floyd because that would be Baldo - Floyd II ( Baldo and Margo being both one dimensional, slow and crude, you know?). Needless to say that Floyd doesn't even talk about Cotto... Floyd simply doesn't want to fight anyone but Hoya and Hatton and his supporters don't want to see him fight against these other guys.

 

People are so stupid on hear I swear and obviously have never boxed nor have a family. There was a possiblity he couldve fought Mayweather in November 2006 Mosley had just KOed Vargas agian July 15th you gotta remember something he had just trained for that for 2 months and had fought Vargas in a grueling fight in February. Shane Mosley had only about a little over a month to recover from that first fight so he had spent 8-9 months basically in a row training for or fighting Vargas and anyone who knows Shane knows he takes it seriously he isolates himself from his family and goes up to Big Bear the man has a wife and like 6 children at home thats his first priority FAMILY COMES FIRST. If he wouldve taken the Mayweather fight in November he wouldve agian probablly started training in early September and agian had very little time to rest and spend time with his family. He promised them hed take them all around the country did he notice after he fought Vargas in July he did fight agian until February ? Shane also wanted Mayweather after the ODLH fight but u noticed Floyd retired until Ricky Hatton called him out. Why did Floyd have to fight a smaller and slower man ? Cause he knew he could make that fight sell and its all about money and knew Hatton had a small chance of winning. Floyd needs to fight Mosley or Cotto either one cause Mosley shouldve gotten the nod in their fight.
