"Mosley would still be at least at least a 50/50 affair with any other welterweight"

"People have been complaining a lot about Pacquiao avoiding the best fighters at 147 to fight Mosley instead. But Mosley would still be at least at least a 50/50 affair with any other welterweight"

That was one of the more controversial quotes from Monday's interview. I wonder if that's true, though.

How would you see Mosley doing against these three most requested opponents for Pacquiao/Mayweather:

    Berto
    Ortiz
    Bradley coming up to 147

He's 100/0 against ANY welter. Pac is just that way above these turds.

I agree with this statement. It's like Roy Jones-Calzaghe. Roy could not hang with Joe, but that doesn't mean he wasn't capable of beating lesser competition (Sheika, Lacy).

Shane can still fight, but he can't fight someone at Manny's level.

Cintron/Mosley would be a great fight for both.
As to the TS question, I'd still give Shane those odds.

Seriously, with Shane's footwork and veteran defensive moves against Pac?

He's gonna **** those young uns sumpin fierce. Shane is the human king of 147. Pac is just fukken alien.

It sounds as though people do believe that Mosley would be at least a 50/50 with the top welterweights. If that's the case, are we judging Pacquiao's (and Mayweather's) selection of him as an opponent too harshly? Who else in welterweight is CLEARLY better than Mosley?

I'd rather have shane take one more beating, if he wins he will believe he can still compete very much and continue boxing and take more punishment, I dont want to see him damaged in the long run.

Id probably pick Mosley against Ortiz And Berto but that just shows how weak the division is at the mo.

Sheika an Lacy are both washed up journeyman. What does this comparison have to do with world class fighters?

If he comes in shape like he was against Pacquiao, he would give no-defense-at-all Berto and/or Ortiz a rough night.
