putting plaster in his gloves doesn't make Margo's chin any stronger. Mosley beat his ass up

 

mosely's chin is better than cotto's. mosely crowded marg & he didn't get the same kind of momentum he got against cotto.

 

I remember Mosely getting tagged alot in this fight and thinking he has iron chin. Obviously he does have a great chin but now i guess we know why they werent hurting as much.

 

Mosley got hit but not that much. That was about as onsided a fight as you will ever see. Two things for sure Mosley can be outboxed The Viper(rip), Winky, and Cotto proved that, but aint no one at ww that can out fight Mosley!

 

Not trying to start a fire storm, but when was Margarito ever known for having devastating KO power? His KO % is only 61%. Now that isn't bad, but considering his style it is a bit low. He didn't KO anyone of note until Cintron. After that? He was 5 for 8 KO's. Of those 8, every elite/good fighter (4) went past 8 rounds. Of those 4 he lost 2. It is said Clottey was winning. He was also losing to Cotto. Interesting. So Marg was almost tailor made for a fighter with Mosley's speed and power. Top that off with the fact that Mosley will stay busy if you stand there in front of him? Game over.

I really think Marg's legend was build up by Arum. People, and he, started to believe the hype. Mosley handled his business. Unfortunately, except for Clottey/Williams, almost all current elite WWs move too much for SSM to pull out a win except for a "lucky" punch.

 

and yet he was out boxed by Cotto. I know those days it's cool to dismiss Cotto but don't forget he beat Mosley

 

Marg was coming hard that night, Mosley fought his fight and stayed the course.With Marg you either go defensive or you elect to be offensive. ANYONE throwing shots at Marg is gonna catch some **** in return. Mosley had all the right tools to work out a great plan, strength, punching power, iron chin, stamina, and speed. He was dirty for alot of the fight, holding everytime Marg was in his comfort range. His strength made this possible, he had enough power for Marg to take notice when those BOMBS were dropping. When in sticky situations his chin showed why he's never been stopped when eating big shots from huge punchers. His speed made it possible for him to always lead and slip shots.

No other guy in the division would have fought close to that. Those wraps wouldn't made a bit of difference.

 

Mosley probablly does have the same amount of speed Floyd has and he throws more combos so id actually give him a speed advantage, Pacquiao I dont really know thats tough. Mosley wasnt hit often if it was they where not very clean it was alot of glancing blows not that clean punches Cotto and others where taking. If Margarito had loaded gloves it wouldnt matter because Mosley had his gameplan set that night and wasnt going to do things like ride the ropes or use alittle to much footmovement like Cotto did. Mosley's chin and will power is to strong he would NEVER lose to any verison of Margarito.

 

Since you watched the fight, you saw how wide Mosley punches and sluggish he was late in the fight. Sure he can explode when he sniffs trouble but he wont touch Floyd. Floyd will make him look silly and retire him.

 

The main thing I noticed from the Margarito fight was the improvement in Mosley's jab. He's going to need a great jab in order to close the distance against Floyd.
