I was looking at Forrest knocking down Mosley and I couldn't believe that mosley got up from those punches. The worst part is that he got up right away and went the distance. Most fighters who take a beating like that in round 2 would be KTFO, forget about going the distance and actually winning some rounds too. Not to mention that Forrest was naturally alot bigger than Shane.

pretty amazing. Apart from that I was watching Cotto highlights and Cotto landed a left hook on Mosley about as flush as a left hook can land and Mosley took it like it was nothing.

    Mosley has an ATG chin.

yeah. the dude's recovery is amazing. he did'nt see that right uppercut coming and almost got his head knocked off.

credit to smoger as well. some refs would have stopped it in that round, seeing as shane was on unsteady legs and was stumbling around, clinching for dear life.

Well if he has gotten hurt like that in the past, obviously he can be KOd. But yeah his chin is very good and very durable.
I don't think anyone here underrate his chin.

I disagree.. he's got a good chin but it took him 7 years to get back from that shot.

Vernon landed sickening shots on Mosley and he recovered. The man is tough as nails.

Maybe 4-5 years ago. Shane is way off his prime. Sure he beat slow tailor made Margarito, but don't forget about the fight before that with Mayorga. Shane looked awful and I still can't believe it took him until the end of the fight to put him away. Shane is pulling his punches now, and just isn't nearly as smooth as he used to be. I honestly don't think Shane is too far from where Oscar is -- one bad ass fighter like Manny will put the nail in his coffin. I like Shane, I always root for him, but he's not what he used to be and age is showing more and more in every fight.

Shane has fought his share of guys that were bigger than him who could hit and I don't remember him ever be shaken by anything except that fight with Vernon. Hell-of-a-chin. Shane loves to fight as much as anyone out there. Hope he can keep it up at a high level for at least a few more years.

nah, i dont think so...Mosley's name has always been synonymous with IRON JAW

any1 who can come from 135 and stand in the pocket and trade with guys like Oscar, Mayorga, Cotto etc. obviously has 1

In the first fight with Oscar - I think it was the 5th round. Oscar landed a left hook upstairs that had Mosley staggered for a brief second. I didn't notice this shot until about the 3rd time I watched the fight but it's there. Lampley and Merchant didn't catch it. Mosley had his back to the ropes and TV was at his back at the time and they traded left hooks. You could see his knees buckle but just as fast as he got caught he was fine

Mosley suffered permanent damage, but he was still a Ferrari after that. A salvaged Ferrari.

Also note that Mosley had a bad headbutt before that KD. According to him, he got a concussion from that headbutt.

I've never seen Mosley really bothered from a punch. Cotto tee'd off on him several times, and Mosley never looked the least bit bothered.
