First off, massive credit to Floyd for his dominating display last night. He really did turn in to the dragon Nazim was warning us about, and made Shane his ***** for 11 of the 12 rounds. But that honestly wasn’t what surprised me last night. Yes he was more aggressive than I anticipated, but I think that was due to one important thing...... how pathetic Shane was.

Floyd Senior hit the nail on the head when he described how Mosley tends to fight, and he only needed one word to use, "jittery". In other words - nervous, jumpy, not at ease, panicky etc. All terms that perfectly depicted the Shane performance we saw.

Right from the opening bell, he never looked like putting effective pressure on Floyd and making him feel the power and resistence of the powerful 147 he is/was supposed to be. Instead, he stayed in the centre of the ring bouncing on his toes hastily, shuddering his gloves indecisively, pawing with a pathetic jab, and completely failing to pull the trigger with his right hand. The worse thing was, he had his two moments in round 2 where he seriously rocked Floyd, but followed it up with f*ck all?! He almost puts Floyd on his butt (twice!), and it seemed as though he was immediately apologetic for doing so! As if to say “Oh **** sorry Floyd, I didn’t mean to hurt you with those right hands, I won’t do it again”. The dude showed Floyd too much respect, and never got his flow going. Furthermore, after those 2 rounds you can tell he was gassed! We all knew Mosley was going to struggle down the stretch, but after 2 rounds?

Maybe I’m being too harsh on him. After all, his 39 year old body did have a long layoff (17 months?) in which he was in and out of training camp, leading him to possibly over train. But still, for a man who’s as experienced as he is, I was pretty disappointed to see him in the dismal nervous state he was last night. I watched the fight on SkySports, so I didn’t quite get to hear the talk in Mosley’s corner until the latter rounds. But I did notice Nazim’s frustration in Shane’s inability to do jack ****.

And guys please, less of this ‘Mayweather the chicken **** once again fights a guy at the right time’. He wanted him back in 1999, and Shane’s lot wanted none of it. Again in mid 2000 Floyd called him out, and again Shane turned the other way. Now the first time Mosley does the calling out, (Mayweather accepts and beats him) all of a sudden it’s Mayweather’s fault for fighting him so late?

So yeah, rant over. I’d like to hear your opinions too on Shane’s performance, and where in my assessment you think I’ve gone wrong. Because it's only the day after, and I guess I'm still pissed/dissappointed in how Shane fought

Mayweather sucked his soul out, end of story. After round six Mosley had nothing left resembling will to win.

He had nothing left going to the third round,Floyd didnt sucked his soul he simply took advantage of a dead tired old fighter and made him pay.

Shane doesn't have a world class jab. So he cannot disrpupt and shepard Floyd.

Shane doens't have great speed of feet or fluidity of movement. So he cannot close on Floyd.

Shane had slower hands and worse balance than Maywether. So he cannot counter Floyd.

What you saw was a distilled version of what I expectd to see. It was not "pathetic" just a true boxing master taking full advantage of every single weakness he found in his opponents armour.

it was as frustrating as watching Mosley not be able to pull the trigger last night as it was watching an old Roy, but then again I know its not Mayweather's fault.... He came forward, pressed the action and almost had Mosley out of there. Time to hang them up for Mosley, time to make Pac-Mayweather happen. I got Pac by k.o.

Well im sure Mosleys age and the long lay of didn't help but to be honest, Floyd would have beaten a prime Mosley anyway in my opinion. It would have been closer but still a win all the same for Floyd.

Like McGrain pointed out and many also acknowledged before the fight, Mosleys lack of quality jab and footwork held him back.

See that's what I haven't decided on just yet (I'll need to review the fight again). Whether it was Floyd who made him look that awful, or whether it was Shane who allowed Floyd to do whatever he wanted. It's amazing when you think that lesser fighters such as Oscar, Hatton and Judah, put up a far better fight than Shane could. I would say that his effort last night in dealing with Foyd was on par with JMM's effort last September.

Now either Floyd has become a beast since his lay off, or those guys (JMM and Shane) just didn't bring enough to the table to even make it a close fight

all the fighters become either shot, either old when they fight Pac or Floyd. At the end of the day you must give them credit because they are able to look their opponents look old, clumsy and shot .

Surprised that a man of Mosley's experience looked so ...as you say... jittery.

The accuracy of Floyd and mix that with a shutdown defence along with the proper foot movement is what locked the fight for him. I know Floyd will still have haters out there but it's getting tired. I'm starting to feel sorry for Floyd. Anytime he wins they always will discredit the win. If he wasn't so fast and accurate we would have seen a faster And harder hitting Shane. But Floyd didn't run and was the hunter and that's what changed the fight

Why do you think that Oscar at 154 is lesser fighter than Mosley at 147 against Floyd. At the first place Mosley was never clearly better fighter than Oscar. I agree with the other stuff you mentioned

I don't know why Moseley is too scared of Floyd's pillow punch. He rarely throws combos and to top it all he's seems lost and no fight plan. No wonder he gets beat every time he steps up.

Agreed, Mayweather was the aggressor from the third round on straight to the end of fight. He even faced a little adversity, you would think that his detractors would be happy with his performance last night but that does not seem to be the case.
