Mosley's fighting the wrong Sergio but there's still time for HBO to demand Maravilla

Sergio Martinez is not only ready to fight Shane Mosley as any other fighter at 154lbs in a nontitle or title fight depening on the opponent (he can easily make 154 just doesn't have a title to offer), but he astounishingly went as far as offering his MW World Championship at an extremely pro-Mosley weight of 155lbs just to make the fight, but guess what, Shane is still fighting another Sergio in an hugely disappointing PPV crap. The closest someone ever got to Martinez' weight sacrifice to lure Mosley in (as you'd guess, Shane would never take on Maravilla with no titles on the line), was actually Bernard Hopkins with a totally forgotten weigh-in at 156lbs for the DLH fight. Even though the false argument is that Hopkins was simply too big, he was just 2 pounds away from the LMW division. Maravilla is ready to do it 1lbs and is also offering the larger part of the purse to Mosley, but the runner-up for Shane's return is Sergio "The Latin Fake" Mora.

    Are you ****ing kidding me?

But there's still time for HBO to step up and give the September 18 date to Maravilla, who deserves the date 100x more than Mora or Mosley coming from a 11-to-1 round loss. Demand Martinez-Mosley, either at 154 or at 155 to sell it as a MW Championship fight, I don't care, just get the deserving guy on the screen instead of the undeserving!

Boxing is ****ed up if one of it's best is left out in the cold.

Martinez is too tough a fight for Mosley. Maybe a tune up against Mora (although this wont be easy) and then a fight with Martinez... but shane will not beat Sergio Martinez; very unlikely

Totally agree, we need to see Maravilla ASAP. Still though, I have no interest in watching him beat Mosley to a pulp.

Mosley just got his ass kicked. Why the hell should he fight Martinez in his very next fight? Martinez is the MW champ and he wants to fight a WW who is coming off of a lopsided loss and you think there is something wrong with boxing because Mosley declines to fight Martinez?

Sorry BigBone, but I have to agree with BigReg here:

Asking him to immediately fight a Martinez is a little bit too much. I mean this is a guy who many feel would give Floyd (who embarassed Shane) a hell of a fight. Shane would be well out of his depth, and suffer another heavy (more punishing) defeat.

I have no qualms with Mosley not fighting him.

I don't think he beats mora, that guy is way to slick and would live to put a name like Mosley on his resume. He will be hungry and keep up the energy when Mosley gets tired, he has no power, just expect a ugly UD in favor of Mora

I feel Shane finds a way to win against Mora and then fingers crossed hangs them up... although I'm afraid I can't see Shane doing that unfortunately

TBH im a little suprised at Shane here , on paper it would seem the right decision to take Mora looking at his age , but we all know Mosley aint an old man , at least we think we know anyway , if Shane hadnt held world title's at this weight it could be put down to legacy and world titles but he's been here before , i cant understand this one , he'd be out of one super fight into another , not sure what to make of this !!!!

Mosely is a wrap. Martinez needs to fight Paul. That's what we were promised. A round robin between pavlik Williams and Martinez. What happened?
