ok, another thread on this ****, but this one is pretty important....nobody, and i mean nobody is talking about mosley's interview on fnf's.... he said that when they brought him the wraps (after nazim saw them), they just looked like knuckle pads, and that they were "soft", but he was told that as the fight went on, they "could possible" get hard....which i dont understand, cause plaster only gets more slimy when wet..... now how the **** does nazim say a bloody brick fell out, and mosley just said that it was soft, looked nomal but with the possibility to get hard as the fight went on :huh another key part of this story is that mosley said margo's trainer, said it was to protect margo's knuckes (knuckle pads), and all knuckle pads are, are cotton wraps placed on top of the knuckle over and over creating a little bit of cushion for the knuckles...that is always, and i mean always done in training, i didnt even know this was illegal, but it's not illegal cause it's dangerous, it's just illegal cause it aint the "proper" way to wrap.... mosley also went on to say that margo shouldn't get suspended, and if anything, it should be his corner that should get punished if found guilty.....he said all a figher does is stick out his hands, focus and prepare to fight.........what class by mosley i have this **** dvr'd and i barely watched it right now, i dont know why anybody else hasn't mentioned it...
Mosley is a real champion, in the way he acts outside the ring. Sadly, the more Richardson speaks, the more I think he is exploiting Margarito's situation to favour himself.
Well if what you said is true...then it could've possibly been someone on his team. I mean they found an ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE on the padding...so if it was the knuckle padding that was the "plaster" that they supposedly found...then it had an illegal substance on it. Something foreign and not allowed. The criminal justice department is now analysing it to most likely find out what the **** is this substance exactly and what are the effects it has on the knuckle padding...and how serious is the damage if it IS a substance that gets hard when wet...
I didn't get to see that one... I saw the Margarito one...but not the Mosley one. And when ESPN was making comments about what Mosley had said earlier all sorts of people were running in and out of the room talking all loud and **** :verysad...so I missed it. But this is good to hear... Now I'm all ****in' lost again. :nut I guess I just have to wait for 2/10 :conf:-(
that's what i dont get, how the hell can the say "illegal substance" without even knowing what the hell is in them...mosley said they look perfectly normal......i'm gonna upload that **** right now...for you guys :good
All these contradicting reports are why I am taking a step back, I jumped the gun, along with a lot of others, in convicting Margarito before it was 100% sure. At the same time, as much of a class act as Mosley is, even if Margarito's team was loading up his wraps and Margarito had no idea, Margarito by default will and should suffer the consequences even though it may be unfair, because that is how the law works. Its like that cop in oakland that shot that black kid. He thought he pulled a tazer out, but pulled his gun out and accidently killed the dude. Should he be let off because he didn't know it was his gun? No because he's responsible, just like Margarito is responsible for who he allows and trusts in his corner. By the way I feel the same way about this as Mosley and steroids, so no double standard here.
Wouldn't it be interesting if Richardson just brought up these pads to get a psychological advantage over Margarito? Regardless, Richardson is a heck of a trainer. Remember Angelo Dundee with Leonard during the Hagler fight? He complained about the level of Hagler's trunks and what would be a low blow. During the fight he would say, hit the navel. Something like that. The good trainers use everything to get an advantage. Richardson and Leonard would have been a good team. A fighter and trainer who use anything to thier advantage.
The plaster that they use to make casts for injuries hardens up after about 15 minutes. I'm assuming that they would wet the material at some point before the gloves went on and then they'd have plenty of time to harden before the opening bell.
