Mosley's Win over Margarito was More Impressive!!

I agree that Shane's win was more impressive due to it being more one sided, but I do believe that version of Marg that Shane got was not as motivated and on point as the one PAC faced this saturday. Marg was a pit bull with his back to the wall going in with PAC. With Shane he was seen as the most feared boxer who was gonna walk right over the aging Mosely....then right before the fight he got hit with the whole hand wrap scandal which in my opinion took Marg out of the fight even more...at least mentally. Both deserve a ton of credit for their wins against Tony but I think PAC's win means more overall.

That is true, but Margarito was destroyed by Mosley. Koed out. So for people to get all excited about this win is overboard. In my opinion the Cotto fight was much more impressive.

Plus Manny was hurt by Margo in the 6th round.

Manny is the best fighter this era, but Margo is not near his class. Mosley demonstrated that.

The only reason people get more excited about this win is because it was Manny Pacquiao. The fact is Mosley flat out crushed Margo. And Pacquiao dominated him. Both looked good, Mosley looked better. Do I think Mosley can beat Pacquiao...NO I don't think he can. But we can't get overly excited about this win, and assume he dominates Mayweather. It is just not logical.

Pacquiao cut that man and fractured him. Bent him with body shots. Two sickle punches, and that fight was over.

What a clown you appear to be. I'm really surprised with some of the comments on here today. How can you attempt to bash a guy who smashed his opponents face in?

Watch the film. Margo finished the fight last night. He didn't 2 years ago. That is all that needs be said.

THere was a major buzz going on with Shane too! Remember that was the win of the year when that upset happened. Shane looked better against a lesser Marg. PAC faced a more dangerous Tony that's for sure.

I ain't bashing his performance. He looked excellent. But you can't tell me Mosley didn't look better against Margo.

With all this being said. I think Pacquiao would dominate Mosley. But this performance needs to be put in perspective.

Mosley looked so garbage to Margarito in his fight with cotto that Tony thought he was a joke, lost weight too rapidly, and did not take the fight seriously. As a result a very motivated shane put on what might have been his last great great performance and destroyed him.

Tony knew this was his last shot, and he knew what was at stake and how good pac was, but he also knew that pac was a little guy he might be able to take out if he came ready. I think this version of Tony, while not as good as the one who fought and destroyed Cintron, was miles more prepared than the one who fought Mosley, who he severely underestimated.

He was also facing a bigger, stronger Shane going in there with a career ending distraction. Things do need to be kept in the proper perspective to really understand the qualities of both wins and what seperates them.

This is pretty intelligent. Tony was coming off the biggest win of his career, and getting a chance to cement his legacy against a 1st ballot hall of famer in front of 20K fans. So he overlooks Mosley...huh...Get out of here man. You are an idiot.

1.margarito was better conditioned, physically and mentally, and was bigger for the pacquiao fight

    2. pacquiao was the smaller less powerful fighter compared to mosley

    3. pacquiao staggered margo several times and could have halted him should he sat on his punches but he chose to follow the game plan.

    4. pacquiao basically stopped hurting margo by the 12th round and let him finish the fight

Never underestimate a fighter's arrogance. My wife's family is friends with JCC sr. Do you know how he trained for Frankie Randall? He didn't eat and drank Tequilla, sick on the floor all day. These Mexican fighters are proud, and I believe Margarito did not take Mosley seriously enough. Thanks for attacking my intelligence right off the bat, man.
