Well it's always about context Will. No doubt Earnie hits hard. I have no problem with anyone calling him the hardest puncher ever. None at all.
Bwahahahahaha!! Not to be smart but you are a long long way behind the 8 ball with Sonny. It's Swags are of passion and you guys are good mates so i'm sure he will be happy to swap keys with you in coming weeks. Don't get me wrong i'll be happy to chime in.
Thank God. I was on the verge of a mental breakdown. My feet aren't nearly big enough to fill those shoes!
I'd nominate some older fighters: Bob Fitzsimmons - he was agressive fast boxer puncher at MW and changed his style for smart slugger at HW. He adapted brilliantly in Corbett's fight after a rough start. He broke his hand vs Maher and outboxed him cleanly with his left. He adjusted in his second Jeffries fight and despite being old he gave Jeff beating of his life. Seriously, he should be probably the first mention in this thread. Archie Moore - needless to say, Moore was one of the greatest tactician the HW division ever saw. Max Schmeling - another outstanding brain inside the ring, the only concern I have with him is his Baer fight - he couldn't adapt all fight long. Jack Johnson - very natural fighter, could adapt to any situation and any opponent.
I was just thinking that. Most fighters can make minor adjustments, but it's very rare to see a complete adaption of something new mid-fight.
I think when you talk about adaptable fighters for rematches, a lot of credit should also go to the trainer and overall camp.
That's exactly what he was. Will has a different take on actual terms to most of us i think in this case.
