I never said Maskaev is a bum, he paid his dues and has the belt. Peter is not a great yet, he is good fighter that will probably beat maskaev. If Maskaev wins then yes Peter will be ranked outside the top 10 IMO, and will have to work back up to the top of the division again.

Peter has beat Mccline, and Toney who is an ATG. Toney who beat guys like Holyfield and Ruiz, before fighting Peter.

Do you remember what Wlad did to Mercer? That was brutal. Ray had never been beaten up so badly up to that point. Yes he was a bit older but wasn't Ali well past it when he fought Holmes? Most would say yes and very much so.

 

Today's Wlad would've KO'd either version of Toney that Peter fought. Many had Toney winning the first fight which is why a rematch was ordered by the WeBeCriminals.................

Both Rahman & Peter were able to bounce jabs off Toney's head at will. Wlad has a far better jab & much more power & technique than Hasim or Sam does.

 

As far as Wlad beating Mercer, Mercer was never considered a great and by that time he was far past his prime.

Toney has one of the best chins in the division, the man can roll with punches like no other. Wether Wlad would knock him out or not, we dont know because they never got a chance to fight, I think we can also assume that Toney could knockout Wlad because he has a leaky defense and a weak chin.

Rahmans jab is one of the best in the divsion, even Lewis' made the comment that his jab was the best he has ever seen in the ring before. I do however think Wlads jab is better than Rahmans, but not by too much.

You forgot the Guzman support group. They think he is more skilled then mayweather. But he is an offbrand generic version, kind of like Cheerios and Toasted Oats. Though toasted oats are damned good too.
