    Floyd is miles off, IMO.

I've never rated him in an athletic sense.

I'm literally shocked at the interpretations of athletism around here. Being ripped has nothing to do with athletesism. Nor does toughness. Athletism is defined by coordination, body control, adaptability, kinetic awareness, the amount of fast twitch muscle fibers you are born with

Sure it is. It's the ability to sustain physical punishment. That's a very real part of athletics.

I'm pretty sure speed and stamina are parts of boxing athleticism too. Hell stamina and toughness are the most important parts of boxing athleticism wise.

The most athletic American athletes are probably all in the nfl, if that's what you're asking. Not sure Roy was any more athletic than Allen Iverson.

Stamina and toughness are not athleticism

    Correct.

There are NO descendants of Jake La Motta, alive today who would have the stupidity to call him athletic. Although he was as tough as old boots.

If anyone has an example of ANOTHER 6' 3" 210 lb guy who could get up on his toes, and dance around, THROW punches ONLY when it suited him, and NOT the other idiot for ANYTHING up to 15 rounds, I would be MORE than willing to hear about them. Until then, I'll go with some guy called Clay / Ali.

That damn Roy Jones. Prine Ali close 2nd. Both these men probably could've played in the N F.L or the N.B.A.

    Stamina is clearly athleticism.

    Holyfield?

In reality, probably all those black pugilists from the early 20th century. You know, the Blackburn and Young Peter Jackson variety.

Endurance and strength are not factors?

And it's called "athleticism" not "athetism"...

Moreso than Jim Jeffries? I don't think any of those early boxers match him in pure athleticism.
