If we're using a commonly-accepted definition of "athletic" - able to compete at events other than, and including boxing - Norton is/was a top candidate. None of these other guys were noted for anything beyond boxing - they were exceptional at it, to be sure, but ask them to play any other sport and they'd be left in the dust. Norton not only competed, but excelled in other things than boxing. If he didn't turn to boxing, he had a shot at being a professional in several other sports; the same can't be said of most boxers.

    Wow, thats crazy..

I had heard of the "Menudo" law, so called because it was imposed after the band's manager exposed five 12 to 16 year old band members to work 16 hours a day, not counting school work. That's the reason the Olsen twins were hired because by having twins, they could still work 16 hours a day by having one twin record the first eight and the other the second eight hours thus legally bypassing the Menudo law. But thanks to that law, minors cannot be abused in the entertainment work place.

I had never, however, heard the Norton law.

As a side note, i once sent 25 cents to the Charles Atlas foundation as an 8 year old thinking his book would give me some muscles ..I never got a reply lol...I had read their ad on the Archie comics....

Macho Camacho was very athletic too, very strong, with great endurance and a good basketball player. He was not NBA or even college level but on the New York streets he was well known for it.

In fact his fight with Ramirez was originally postponed because he shattered his ankle while at a pick up game.

I assume we’re not going to list guys like Ed ‘Too Tall Jones’, Alonzo Highsmith and Mark Gastineau who were successful NFL players and had brief pro boxing careers.

Roy Jones played in a minor league basketball game a few hours before he fought Eric Lucas. This is the bout in which George Foreman said sweat was coming down “pitifully” from RJJ

I’m not sure how good he was but from what I read, it seems he held his own as a reserve player. I checked the roster of the 96’ Jacksonville Barracudas and the majority of his teammates were former D1 players. One of them was Darvin Ham.

So obviously he had some basketball talent, and really impressive for someone who’s one of the greatest in another sport.

In high school Norton entered 8 events in a single meet and won 7 of them which resulted in the Ken Norton Rule, limiting superior athletes such as himself, and myself, from entering more than 4 events.
