I've just watched Danny Williams vs Konstantin Airch live from Bilbao in Spain and i'm in shock. This was the most shocking referreeing ever. Worse than Robin Reid vs Sven Ottke. In round two Danny got 2 points deducted for only his 2nd low blow warning. In round 3 Danny got 2 standing 8 counts even though it was't in the rules. Danny's tape also came loose and he had to cut it himeself after the ref let him fight for over a minute with it. In round 4 Danny got a count after a slip (he threw a right and slipped). In round 5 Airich went down and the ref gave him 10 seconds PLUS an extra 10 to recover. In round 6, Danny had Airich is huge trouble after 1 minute but the bell rang after 1:25 of the round! Unreal! In round 7 Danny was all over Airich and the towel was thrown in....justice down. I'm still in shock over this. I know this fight isn't on the radar of US fans but please look this up for it's injustice. I've never seen anything like it. Danny was 8 rounds down going into the 5th! And he was battering Airich round the place! Airich is good, dont get me wrong but he was in too deep tonight and it would have been over by 3/4 if the ref was correct. Crazy fight that makes me sad as a boxing fan.
Did you notice the glove **** in round 5 as well ? It maybe my imagination or maybe they did it to buy time but Airich went to his corner after the standing count and they did something to his glove. The bell then sounded and Danny went to Airich's corner and gave them a piece of his mind. I am glad DW won as it stuck 2 fingers up at the turk/german promoters of Airich who were intent on fixing this fight. When the bell went 1m 28s early (Airich was in trouble) one of the turks was walking form around the bell area (why would a promoter be walkin about when his fighter is in trouble??)
Oh My God they stopped a round (six) half way through, surely they (the time keeper?) should be repremanded for this
No watch the referee in the MMA fight between Kimbo and Thompson, Gary 'parasite' Shaw must have paid him off. Also remember the referee for Bob Reid and Sven Ottke, now that is dreadful:twisted:
