    Bobick was not in Jackson's league as a whacko, TFM. In all the years I trained with Tommy, never heard him say anything other than :"Wanna shoot rats?"

    To throw in an interesting snipet:

    Tommy Loughran wrote an article during this period in which he apraised the top fighters of the day, and the two that he singled out for praise were Rocky Marciano and Tommy Huricane Jackson.

    He described Jacksons style as "cute and awkward", I think.

    Anyone who makes it to the highest rank of an athletic endeavor is by definition "athletic".

    Jackson was just a shitty fighter.

    I've seen some film of Hurricane Jackson. He was a whirlwind of punches, a human windmill. The best effort I saw of him was against Floyd Patterson the first time where he kept up a steady workrate over 12 rounds and absorbed a beating while continuing to press forward.

    Surprisingly, Ezzard Charles thought quite highly of him after Jackson managed to defeat him twice.

    Not so, S. Tommy couldn't walk 'n chew gum. He also had no pulse or nerve endings to feel pain. He didn't have grit; he wasn't smart enough for that.

    Used to hear him in the dressing room before a match choo-chooing like a train.
