I have two for that category:
Carlos Monzon and Hector Camacho Sr.

    Who do you have?

Probably Rosenbloom by all accounts. No footage but plenty of documented accounts of his style & fights. Flowers might be another one...

Camacho was pretty exciting pre-Rosario fight. After that (especially against Boza Edwards in his next fight) he became much more cautious only displaying flashes in brilliance every so often during the rest of his career.

I agree with that assessment. Except for the Ramirez fight-and I think this is when he started the defensive approach because he backpedaled against Ramirez so much Ramirez looked like he was himself sleepwalking- Camacho was pretty exciting and in fact the Rosario fight is a certified war. The Howard Davis fight , I reviewed it recently and, contrary to what I felt back then was also a pretty good war.

I put Camacho a notch below Monzon in the borefest sweepstakes.

Nino Benvenuti was also pretty boring.

But also back then I viewed fights appreciating the "art" boxing style, when I was a kid and a teenager and Camacho was around and there was a show on Puerto Rican tv that showed fights all the way from Henry Armstrong to the 1980s.

Arturo Gatti spoiled me too much lmao

I'd say James Toney after the Roy Jones fight was pretty boring. He seemed to have lost some fire. His offense wasn' t the same.

Johnny Tapia after the Ayala fights. He didnt have the same focus. He just seemed lackluster compared to the great fighter he had been.

Bernard Hopkins and Pernell Whitaker for me. Just not my cup of tea. Also, as was already mentioned, Nino Benvenuti.

Hard to pick because I'm one of the few people that found clinch fighting interesting..but anyways,Ernie Terrell.

I'm here for the grappling and smashing, not grappling 24/7 like a 20 yr old virgin hugging his pillows with his crush photo on it.

No disrespect to the OP and I mean it sincerely and not in a prelude to an insult, but that's the first time I saw Macho referred to as boring.
