I thought that fight was pretty gripping until the intensity slowed in the later rounds. The guys been in plenty of wars so you can hardly call him boring.
I'm kinda disappointed so many people said Wladimir Klitschko. He had one fight in '09, and it was with Chagaev. He dominated the best heavyweight in the world at the time that wasn't his brother, and stopped him with an excellent performance after remorselessly damaging his face for the better part of 9 rounds. Don't get me wrong, Klitschko has been in some snoozers, but there are those that are way above him in this category for 2009. I don't think Hopkins is in the running, either. Again, one fight in '09 and it was against Ornelas, and that was an entertaining fight. As some have already mentioned, I think the award has to be split between Valuev and Haye. One fight for them a piece in 2009, and it was more effective than Ambien and Lunesta combined.
Valuev tried to make it interesting stalking trying to get him on the ropes threw when he could. Haye was the one avoiding any kind of fight. I mean I thought Haye won but to call it exciting is wrong
Yeah. I think they have it in their head that Wlad = boring. So they don't even analyse the actual question and try to come up with a correct answer. You can be excused if you think that Wlad is overall a boring fighter. But this year had only one really prominent stinker, and that was Haye-Valuev. Haye gets the nod as the most boring fighter because Valuev at least tried to fight. Let's hope he can actually bring some of his older more exciting form into 2010. Cause there is no-one even coming within a mile of Haye as the most boring fighter of 2009.
he wins it on the Chag fight, he could have finished it far earlier, but decided to just slowly wear him down for a stoppage, how boring. ps. nothing against the guy but he doesnt seem to have a different method of fighting anymore
