I like Chisora, Tyson, and Whyte, hence why I called them comedians. As far as I am aware Tyson Fury is white also.......

most boxers, like the vast majority of people in the world, are boring. that’s fine, if you challenge yourself in the ring your boxing can speak for itself.

but worse than being boring, is being tedious. like Tyson Fury the pub bore repeating the same five phrases he thinks are hilarious, stalling, flip flopping, stringing people along…AGIT KABAYEL YOU’RE NEXT YOU BIG DOSSER blah blah blah

on the flip side, I find Anthony Joshua and his internal torment fascinating. in that breakdown post-Usyk 2 there was something psychologically revealing to pull apart in every sentence he spoke. i’m hoping he goes rogue soon but we’re not quite there yet, he’s still holding himself back.

How is AJ not on everyone’s list? Is the idea that he doesn’t qualify because he’d have to have a personality to have a boring one?

For more than a decade, the most typed words in the UK sporting press have been ‘Eddie says that AJ says …’ I mean he has rarely, if ever, spoken for himself.

Loses to Usyk? ‘Eddie says AJ says he’ll be back in December.’ Who will he fight next? ‘Eddie says AJ says maybe Dillian Whyte.’ What did he have for breakfast? ‘Eddie says AJ says bangers and mash.’ Hell, half the time he’s spoken for him AJ is sitting right there like a mute ventriloquist’s dummy.

Then again, we saw after the Usyk fight why Eddie’s biggest fear is AJ with a live mic.

    Hip hip …

It's gotta be Dubois for me.

He seems totally devoid of any real character.

Dubois has nothing, he's so plain that he hasn't even got the endearing trait of being pleasantly shy, he just looks like a massive ventriloquist dummy that nobody wants to play with.

I know he's not technically a real boxer but Tommy Fury has as much personality as a plank of wood

Looking back on this thread, it's harder to name people who are interesting rather than tedious. I accept that certain people potentially say interesting things, but their delivery is unlistenable (Fight Disciples, Paul Smith Jr, others) but there are some who just talk such repetitive pap it's hard to listen.

Yet on the other hand I'd defend both the Hearns and elder Warren as with the right interviewer (Tebbutt / Flexen) at the right time, they're good storytellers. Yet Eddie with Kugan or Parsons and the constant half-English "yeah, but like, it's like, not quite like" questioning is truly awful. Maybe most of those clickbait Youtubers are the really boring ones as certain interviewers like the above and Tris Dixon seem to be able to get a decent chat out of anyone.
