Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it hasn't happened. It actually means you don't pay attention to these lists. Golovkin hasn't had much difficulty in his fights at all. Winning one round is better than what 70% of his opponents have done.
If Wilder gets KTFOd, it'd be a great year and Washington boxer of the year. I will get a poster of Washington in my living room
He barely scraped by Porter and his next best win is Jojo Dan nobody would have the gall to argue he's a top 10 p4p, that is laughable. 90% of GGGs resume is bums so that isn't saying much but it's easy to see Ouma gave him by far his toughest fight to date
Well, they have argued that and he has been on lists for quite some time. He isn't at the moment, but he's likely going to be there if he wins his next match. They aren't bums.
Maybe, I could add Mayweather vs Judah, since Judah wasn't washed up at that point and still had a little street cred. But Lacy was a pure hype job with no important wins. That don't count for the best facing the best. Wright and Taylor are two borderline cases. They are both top quality challengers, but usually I like to see a dominant champion facing a challenger before I call it a great match up. What I'm looking for with these is two great champions facing off, or a champ and a top contender. If Hopkins fights either one it's an important fight. But when they just fight each other, not so much. At that time and weight Cotto was indeed an important player but no way does Paulie Malignaggi ever get considered a top quality fighter. Paulie wasn't even top ten rated and had no belt. To make a meaningful fight at junior welter in 2006 you need Cotto to fight someone with teeth and ability Mayweather, Hatton, Tszyu, or Castillo.
