Winky Wright... he cant knock anybody out and doesnt take the chances to knock them out and his defense make him more boring... clottey uses it too but atleast he has faster hands and atleast tries to hurt his opponent.. :-((
Hopkins vs. Wright was :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead :dead That was probably THE MOST boring fight i have ever seen.
I have also suffered the trauma of watching a Matt Skelton fight. Horrific. Esp the Sprott fight. Klitschko v Ibragimov and Klitschko v Tiger Thompson, Lewis v Akinwande, any John Ruiz fight (except when he got annihilated by Tua!), Rahman v Cawley etc etc etc... You see the pattern developing? Unless it's a KO blowout, heavyweight boxing has been hideous to watch over the past decade as they place more emphasis on weight and strength, and less and less on speed and energy and accuracy.
I don't think all his fights were boring Hatton, Chavez, Hernandez Castillio all in all he has been a very posotive fighter. He didn't fight that way against Oscar because he was fighting a natural;ly bigger dude.
I agree. It's painfull as hell to watch a heaveyweight fight. It's only that one punch can end it all factor that you don't really get in the other divisions that keeps you watching. A lot of people critizise Floyd as he doesn't let his fists fly lmuch like he used to but atleast you get the pleasure of watching good footwork and defensive skills.
