I always thought the Cobb beating was a little overstated, partly because of Howard making it a thing. I'm not saying it wasn't bad, it's just I remember Cobb landing just enough leather that it wasn't quite the desperate tragedy of boxing. But Pac/Margarito was utterly atrocious despite one exchange that apparently left a huge impression on Pacquiao afterward, but it was brutal, brutal stuff. Just watching a little man smash seven shades of shirt out of a big man wading in all night long. Pac VS Rios and Algieri are not that far behind either. These tall kids completely baffled and beaten up. Mayweather/Marquez was really rough. Even Marquez's trainer referred to it when thinking about fighting again and saying Marquez had to recover from it, because it was brutal. Chavez/Camacho, I can definitely see that, as well as Vitali/Briggs. I would have to put Wlad/Wach in there too, because that was actually more one-sided than Holmes/Cobb and it was a puncher dishing it out over the distance. Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb. And Wach just kept taking it. He had absolutely no tools to deal with anything. He made Wlad cover up once and some people thought it added some drama, but I don't know that he actually did anything. Hopkins/Pavlik was, in context, an insane level of domination and beating. And great story.
