That's a great one, I forgot about that fight, what a savage KO, I remember watching it live and I thought he was seriously hurt.

Arturo Gatti KO'ing Joey Gamanche I think his name was, controversial at the time because Gatti had gained 25 pounds since the weigh in.

    Julian Jackson sparking Herol Graham.

    It was gruesome.

Same here. The way his head bobbled about when that last left hook landed was horrible.

The really odd thing about this fight was one of the boxers never entered the ring again after such a devastating KO. And that man wasn't Enzo.

    Whatever happened to Alexander Frenkel?

Yeah it is odd. Enzo fought 12 more times after that brutal KO loss, Frenkel who was only 25 y/o, undefeated and highly regarded never fought again.

I was just discussing that the other day. Here's the post I posted

Apparently he suffered from depression and just fell out of love with the sport. I think injury might have played a part too but I'm not sure. Such a shame as he was a beast. Rumour is he sparked out Huck in sparring x 2, which is no easy feat as Huck was as tough as old boots. Been 8 years since he last fought but surprisingly he's only 33 y/o now.

The KO of Enzo Mac was one of the most savage and gruesome I've ever seen. However, Frenkel said he wasn't even sure if it was the best he'd scored :scared1

J.S: You certainly got better in that 7th-round! Was that the best left hook you’ve ever landed?

A.F: In the amateurs, I scored a lot of knockouts – maybe twenty 1st-round KO’s. I had so many amateur knockouts that were just like this one, so I can’t really say if that was the hardest one. But it was one of the hardest, yes.

Interesting he seemed to fall out of love with the sport after such a devastating win. But there's no way a fighter can put themselves through all the training and the fights themselves if they have no motivation to do so.

Love move too, under Enzo's lazy right hand and booooom! The commentary was a little off-message too 'he doesn't seem to have that at the moment, no fire, no devil about him....'

Very true, damned shame though as he would've become a world champion had he not decided to hang them up IMO.

lol yeah it was. Enzo had no right getting up from that first left hook as it was a KO shot.

I think this deserves to be here. Knocked the hell out, goes down like a sack of potatoes and doesn’t even start moving until his team tries to turn him around.
