Both of Shanes fights with Vargas were at 154. And he only decided to fight Callazo to pick up a belt since no one (floyd)would fight him at the time. And no Floyd did not "try" to fight him. Winky was @154 forever and fought Quartey at 158 he only fought b hop for the money because he couldnt get a fight with anyone @ 154 which is why he left in the first place. You remember Wink trying to fight him but Floyd outpriced himself and wanted to fight at 147 I believe which he knew winky could not make.Like I said one thing Floyd fans have in common is not accepting reality. Floyd is not that popular by anymeans but the little amount of fans he has have such a twisted perception of reality it makes his career hard to stomach.

    Mosley-Collazo was a non-title fight.

After Mosley-Vargas 2, HBO pushed for Mayweather-Mosley in the fall of 2006. Larry Merchant interviewed Mosley and asked him on the thought of fighting Mayweather. Mosley's response was "I'm going to the dentist and going on vacation with my family".

Which everyone translated as "my boss Oscar De La Hoya is planning on fighting Floyd, so I have to take a backseat".

Yea it was for an interim title. Sorry for some reason I thought it was the regular title. Your right though Oscar did have something to do with Shane not getting that fight to be fair. But I still feel Floyd wanted nothing to do with him at any time in any division.

I think the fight would've happened in November 2006 if the bosses at GBP had allowed it.

A Mosley match probably would've paid more than $8 mil for Mayweather, and been a bigger event.

Mayweather loves the big event, he's a real attention craver.

Shane fought Collazo in Feb. of 2007 and won an interim title, his next fight was also at WW. How exactly was he at 154 at the time? Also, how could Floyd fight Shane in Feb. of 2007 when in Dec. of 2006 he had signed to fight Hoya that May?

In the summer of 2006, they entered negotions to fight eachother. Negotiations broke down over purse split issues. Shane then decided to take 2006 off because of a toothache.

Winky's last fight at 154 was in 2005

They were negotiating to fight at 154. Floyd was at 140 at the time and winky was at 160. They were 5% off on the purse figures and the fight fell apart. I guess you would demean Pac if his fight with Hoya doesn't come off. I can't accept reality yet you're making **** up left and right. Everyting I've said is backed up by factual evidence.

How do you explain your twisted perception of reality?

Yes, and you have no evidence to back this up. I, on the other hand, have evidence to back up my claim that he did in fact want to fight Shane. It's a shame that I have a twisted perception of reality that relies on facts rather than baseless hunches.

Why is Jermain Taylor even mentioned? The guy took dumb risks. I would not have put him in the ring against Winky. I would not have put him in the immediate rematch with Pavlik. If anything, JT was mismanaged for taking too much risk.
