jeff fenech when he lost to nelson -- his mammoth sexual appetite contributed as much to his first loss against Azumah Nelson

, I've never been the same. You know, you just never get over that one-time rapid weight loss (even though other boxers and athletes like wrestlers do it all the time). Never, ever, never."

Of all the horrible excuses, at least he had a blood sugar test to substantiate his horrible performance.

Hard to substantiate itchy socks or other great ones.

I read this one on a thread like this a couple years ago.

Some guy said that the reason he lost is because the other guy was listening to the instructioins his trainer was giving him.

    Anyone heard this before.

Shannon Briggs "crippling ashthma." if that causes you to lose one fight, don't you think it's bad enough to make you lose every fight. i like honest fighters, and David Diaz proved he was at least honest saturday when he said "he's too ****ing fast," i imediatley liked the guy. He can't fight that well, but seems like a cool dude. I don't know if this is funny or a little frightening, but the BEST excuse anyone can make is the fight in the early 80's when Cornelius Boza-Edwards fought Alexis Arguello. I think that's the fight were Arguello hit him so hard to the body that Boza-Edwards lost control of his bowels. I would never step into the ring again if that happened.

He didn't push himself hard in the first three rounds because he thought he was ahead on the scorecards. :D

    Genuine Margarito fan quote.

Frank Bruno said he froze in both Tyson fights, but I don't see them as excuses. Both statements were straight from the heart, and very honest.

It was well known in the UK that Frank suffered from stagefright, and that most of his better work was unseen by anyone other than his trainer and a couple of old blokes in the corner of the gym.

Jones is my favorite fighter, but his excuse after losing to Tarver the 2nd time was pathetic.

"I didn't want my father to get credit for the win" or something akin to that.

It did sound dumb, but something just didn't seem right about that fight besides wasting my money.
