Who in your opinion is the most complete fighter post 1960? My pick would be for Ricardo Lopez and mabye Pernell Whitaker.

History says Sugar Ray Robinson and I tend to agree.

when i saw the thread title i thought lopez. whitaker was brilliant but not complete per se. he lacked certain parts of his game but more than made up for them with others. lopez lacked nothing. however, as lukeo stated history has taught us robinson, notably welter robinson, took the cake here

i agree on finito but i think pea lacked power and could have improved on offense. i would replace him with arguello.

That was my first thought too... since I loved toney when he gave a ****, but he has jaded the memory with his recent outings.
I'm not experienced enough to counter the SRR argument, and of all his fights I have seen, and for the period they took place, he had to be the biggest innovation to boxing ever.

arguello was tremendous but he was slow of foot, relatively stationary and didn't always show great head movement. he relied on his timing, distance and power to compensate but there were holes in his game

can't argue here. he'd be my number 3. power, combinations, deft defense, purposeful movement, works up the ladder, knows just enough about dirty fighting to use it properly and at his best a great chin.

not a bad pick but the prime toney's time was so short that it's hard for me to judge him
