Nope, there are others that noticed Pernell could crack enough if he had too........he just did'nt like getting hit, and so he did'nt. .........but as far as punching power is concerned, I'd say Pernell's was on par and likely had better one shot power than JC Chavez himself. Chavez did'nt have concussive type of one shot power, he worked at it and his many KO's over good fighters mainly came over the long haul of beatdowns. .....so yes, I would say Whitaker likely did have better one shot snap on his shots.
R U ****ing kidding me. Oscar had a great jab. Watch the Vargas fight. Oscar had great footwork. Watch the Trinidad fight. Oscar had a great chin. Oscar had speed. Oscar had power. As far as stamina: Rd 12 Quartey Rd 11 Vargas Rd 11 Carr Rd 12 Mosley II
you can't look past sugar ray leonard. the skills were there for all to see, but the chin and the heart of a warrior were hidden deeper.
and nobody mentions Salvador Sanchez? wtf Salvador Sanchez was a complete fighter, could fight inside, outside, good defense, good pressure fighter
I like toney but I would even put pac ahead of him....also pryor, arguello, chavez, hagler, hopkins, RJJ (obviously)ODLH, Mosely, whitaker, meldrick taylor, tyson, so many
