    my picks....

Past - Sugar Ray Robinson...chin, boxing ability, speed, power, in fighting skills etc.....he was a perfect fighter in my book
Present - ????.....i gotta think about it, but leaning towards Cotto

    Robinson all time for sure.

    Duran is there imo...Ali too.

Today's most complete fighter? Either JMM or Cotto.

This is an overwhelming question. Too many names come to mind. Ricardo Lopez, Erik Morales, MAB, Mayweather, RJJ, Hopkins, DLH, etc etc...

As much as it pains me to admit....Mayweather is probably the most complete fighter of recent years. Than i'd have to go with Hopkins...someone mentioned Roy, but Roy was jsut a superior athlete to everybody else....when that started to fade we all saw what happened.

roy is complete except his chin. Now he is close to washed up. Floyd is probably the most complete fighter i have ever seen.

another pick for current would be Chad Dawson and Juan Diaz (underrated)....

and yeah Roy has no Chin....also Holyfield would be another good pick for Past

Im in two minds on the issue..

No one hit Roy in his prime this is true. Though De Valle, Gonzalez and Griffin (I know..I know) did land some alright single shots.

But I do think that his age + the rapid weight gain and loss for the Ruiz fight played a big role in his punch resistence at the stage.

Bernard Hopkins is one of the few guys that tops out in every category including the all important areas of defense, punch resistance, ring IQ, ect. De La Hoya is also a complete fighter, though beyond his prime as well.
