Poor Glen Johnson's made a career of being ****ed, a fall guy that simply refused to play the part.

Jimmy Young, of course. Guy without question deserved the nod against Norton AND Ali. He already beat Lyle and Foreman to boot! He'd be a consenus top 20 heavy with that kind of resume.

George Dixon probably holds that dubious honour.

“Nearly every time Dixon has been pitted against a champion, no matter whether foreign or native, the majority has named Dixon the loser, probably through prejudice, owing to his color, yet he has won.”

How about Barbados Joe Walcott and Langford, Janitor?

    Choynski even?

    Some good calls.

Barbados Joe Walcott fought Kid Lavigne for the title under the terms that he would loose and his purse would be forfeit if he did not get a stopage inside 10 rounds.

Joe Choynski fought Tom Sharkey under the terms that he would loose automaticaly if he failed to get a stopage.

Under this type of contract Tex Cobb would have defeated Larry Holmes by decision.

There were some prety hard calls back then.

In sheer terms of quantity and availability of footage (so we can give a fair assessment of who won) I think that's a great call. Aside from the Mayweather bout I've never seen an Augustus fight where I thought he'd lost. Now, I've only seen a small sample of his fights, but I've seen it claimed that Augustus deserved the nod in over half of his losses.
