In boxing over the last half-century or so, the most controversial stoppage I can think of is Chavez-Taylor, and the biggest robbery is clearly Lewis-Holy.

What are the equivalents in MMA? :think

As far as decisions go Pham-Garcia and Bisping-Hammil were really really bad.

It's easier for me to think of late stoppages or excellent examples of non-stoppages than it is for me to think of early stoppages. I vaguely remember Dean stopping a fight thinking a guy in a choke was out when it turned out he wasn't at all.

Wasn't that Big John who thought a guy was knocked out when he was dropping for an ankle pick?

Yeah that was Sakuraba/Silviera back when Saku was only known as a pro wrestler.

Sakuraba went ape**** after that fight, I was surprised, used to him being so calm and collected (not that the bs stoppage didn't warrant it or anything).

Anyway, Sakuraba - Mezger and Rutten - Randleman deserve a mention.

I remember Danzig's loss to Wiman being a pretty ****ed up call.

Rampage too, Ninja could never get a break.

Always felt Kid Yamamoto - Genki Sudo was an early stoppage.

Eh bull****. Ninja did nothing but side mount Hendo and land a couple of knees. Perfectly acceptable decision under Pride scoring.

Yeah Pham got the **** end of the stick on that one.

Dean Calling for the stoppage when he thought someone was out was Danzig as Jimmie said.

I thought Might mouse was very lucky to get the win in his last fight I thought Torres took two roundsd clearly

Sean Sherk vs. Evan Dunham always sticks out as a horrible decision, but I'm sure I've seen worse.
