It's sound logic. I want to see great fights. That's what I care about. I don't live and die by Judges Decisions. But I get why fans are passionate about them and want the judges to get it right, and fight to argue the case for fighters they root for. But it'll always be subjective. And losing a close decision is not the end of the world. Loma upped his proverbial stock big time with that performance. He didn't get decision, but he proved how good he is, which he needed to do. That performance more than made up for the poor performance against Lopez.

The writing was on the wall going into the series, and it played out just like they wanted it to, and that is ,Canelo to come out on top.

Confirmation bias. You and many other GGG fans fell into a trap (of your own making) by boasting and bragging about what he would do to Canelo if they ever fought. You expected more from GGG. You expected GGG to dominate Canelo, you expected GGG to hurt Canelo, you (maybe?) expected GGG to stop Canelo. None of what you expected to happen, happened, and after what happened, you needed an excuse to salvage some measure of credibility.

    Canelo vs Golovkin.
I myself thought the draw was fine. I scored it such myself, but 6 rounds was the best case scenario for Canelo. I could easily see it 7-5 or even 8-4 Golovkin, but no way could I find 7 rounds for Canelo.
And then there was Byrd´s scorecard that ripped the likely W from Golovkins arms. Any other judge would have likely scored it for Golovkin.

Ward vs Kovalev was close and the scorecards were OK. I never argued against anyone who had it for Kovalev, but I don´t think it was a robbery as I had it 114-113 Ward.

Still haven´t watched Haney vs Loma. Seems like it was a close fight that many thought Loma won.

Remember the hordes of fans who said Golovkin was going for the KO in the rematch?
    Fun times.

    GGG vs Canelo 1

there is a reson why Canelo fought Amir Khan in May 2016 instead of Golovkin

I scored Haney vs Loma as a Draw

There is more ways to win than by beat down or stoppage. It was thought by many and highly probable that GGG might do one or the other, it didn't happen, credit to Canelo, but GGG still beat Canelo convincingly in fight one as most with eyes can see, no credibility salvaging necessary.

Of the 3 fights mentioned by the OP, I would go Kovalev- Ward 1. Just the look on Wards face when announced as the winner, said it all. However I agree with @MAD_PIGE0N , I watched Golovkin-Clenelo 2 on mute as after the first 2 rounds, I couldn't take Kevin Kelley and his cohort any longer (jnternational feed). All I viewed for the remaining 10 rounds was GGG jabbing Gingers face off.

If boxing is to be an objectively scored sport, decisions have to come an hour or two after the fight has ended, not immediately after ffs.
Scoring should be done after reviewing footage in slow-mo, by unbiased judges(3 americans lol) and probably an AI aid.
    Is this objectively better? Yes.
    Will it ever happen? No.
Boxing is corrupt beyond belief and anything other than a KO will leave you guessing.
"The fight could've went either way" is lame, lazy and shouldn't ever be true. Boxing is a game of tag after all, whoever outscored the other takes the round.

I’m sure one of those 3 fights deserved to have a rightful winner. Which would you say has the best case of having the decision go their way?

Definitely Kovalev vs. Ward 1. Not only was that the most convincing imo but also he got a knock down on top of visibly hurting him a few times.

I had all their guys losing the 3 fights. Though I accept Usyk beat AJ without controversy both times. That’s the difference between these muppets and I. I will accept defeat however painful if the other guy wins and I am the first to congratulate them because I am not a sore loser.

Fair enough. You have to admit that they were all competitive, hard fought fights that gave fans their moneys worth. Both fighters in those fights should be commended for it. I just hope Haney gives Loma a deserved rematch much like Ward and Canelo did.
