Come on Ash mate surly you being a fan of the sport as well as Mundine should be shouting for the Unification of EVERY division ,i realise and can accept the modern thinking behind a young man fighting for fringe trinket like the IBO as a way of getting his foot in the door to unifying V one of the top four but for a seasoned pro to capture one and claim he is the MAN in the division on the WORLD STAGE is a load of crappola imo . and deep down probably in your opinion also .
Oh so you watched it...looks like more than once as well....your quoting is quite correct Tell me whats the next line :think
Mate dont talk to me about unification like I ****ed the system up....next time a unification fight is on I will be as old as you are 1 man 4 titles...no way
Mate you should take the blinkers off ,in recent times we have had unified champions , Vic , Joe , Haye etc some blokes fight for unification in their division to be considered " THE MAN " in the eyes of their peers whilst some just want to hold a just trinket and claim greatness in the eyes of the blind so called fans . :deal Ps you can be considered a unified Champion holding 3 of the 4 main org titles .
We all know about Vic....and I did love Joe wooping Kess for the 3 titles but when will 1 fighter have all 4 again?
As soon as fighters who are talented and capable enough start to fight for the recognised top four titles win one and attempt unification .....:good
The WBA is a bull**** belt too. Having a "super" champion and a regular champion in the same division is just another way to charge extra sanctioning fees. Total farce.
The WBO is not usually counted when talking about unification. It slipped in when Oscar met Hopkins who for the first time, put all the belts into the pot.
ESB top 10? Each Div............... No Ashley... Mandy is NOT a Heavyweight worthy of ranking in the Bantamweight class either!
It's hard to keep up with not that long ago the WBA and WBC were the only titles worth having. When fenech won his first title the IBF it was reagarded like the IBOI is now. Then the IBF became more prominent and it was the big 3. in recent times with super champs, regular champs, diamond champs and interim champs. the world has gone crazy. My understanding is that you cannot go to Ring and ask to fight for there title like the other orgs you have to beat the man who holds it or after excellent wins be given it. The WBO has risen markedly in the last few years to make it a big 4 but with the rise of the WBO the other 3 in the same time has dropped. in 12 months who knows. i guess at times it comes down to the person who has the belt not just the belt. If PBF or Pacman were to win an IBO or even WBF ( Which i doubt they would fight for ) thenit would be them making the belt. just my thoughts for you Bolton
A Ring belt can only be won when the #1 contender fights the #2 contender in their rankings, or in some instances the #1 vs the #3.
:rofl Do your research my friend, both fought for and won said title. The fighter makes the belt and has done for some time now. Sorry Josey; depsite your opinion you can't hold a majority of the belts of the "big 4" and be 'undisputed' because somebody else holds a version and therefore the claim to the title is still disputed; simple really!
