Julian Jackson was probably the most powerful boxer p4p of all time, he had very quick hands according to McCallum who defeated JJ at light middle via some smart moves, also Jackson KO`d a slippery fighter like Graham with the best KO I`ve ever seen, Earnie Shavers punched harder than everyone but was a heavyweight so it`s hard to compare but it`s the sheer nature of how Jackson`s opponents went and Shavers didn`t have quick hands like Jackson so he couldn`t finish of Holmes after throwing one of the most powerful punches of all time, but I would say Hearns was more dangerous p4p than these two because he had devastating power but his ability to land was so much better than fighters like Jackson, his jab set things up great and his reach meant you had to take risks to get inside making him more dangerous, as Hearns rose in weight he slowed so his hand speed couldn`t pick opponents apart as well as in the late 70`s/early 80`s, what a reach.

Michael Watson knocked Lee out but the main thing I remembered as a kid looking at a fight program he and Watson were supposed to be on was the name dangerous!

I'd say Nigel Benn was up there.

If he came after you, he was hell on wheels. And if you hurt him, god help you.

He had big KO power, a lethal amount of rage, and would be involved in hellacious fights.

The MW & SMW version of Tyson.

Did he really fight Michael Watson? All I can remember about Dangerous Don Lee was when he beat Tony Sibson in what was seen as a fairly big upset at the time when Tony was on the comeback trail after losing to Marvin Hagler.

Benn was nothing like Tyson, Benn didn`t finish of many super middles because he couldn`t really KO bigger men as well as at the lower weight, the best punch he landed at the heavier weight was vs Sherry in a bad display up until the stoppage. Benn could be outboxed quite easily and was only successful when an opponent came forward with bad head movement. At middle Benn`s punch was devastating but he was wild and would punch himself out like the Watson and Eubank fights, the only top fighter Benn beat was McClellan but in that fight Gerald had no defense and struggled to land on Benn who was getting underneath punches but had nowhere near the defensive prowess coming forward like Tyson which made Tyson more deadly in his respective weight because he would often slip and counter making his punches have more impact, one thing that was the same was that I think most of their KO`s were from left hooks, Benn`s hook was his best punch but Tyson was more accurate with his.

That`s what I was told as a kid by the boxer who was meant to fight on the same bill as that fight before it got put back, I`ll check on wiki.

Rigo has a history of breaking bones in people's faces.

Antonio Tarver had a run where he consecutively retired two undefeated fighters, Lincoln Carter and Chris Johnson (taken out on stretcher), then, a short time later, effectively ended the careers of Jones, Griffin, and Eric Harding as top fighters.

Cuevas broke jaws and orbitals like they were balsa wood. For a stretch of almost 4 years he was an absolute destroyer of men.

At the time both were active, if you were looking through the divisions to see a destroyer like Mike, it was Nigel.

At the age Kovalev is now did Charles have more knockouts at the same age? I know a lot of people will laugh at Kov being mentioned on a most dangerous OAT thread but I really feel he is one of the best finishers in light heavy history and has an amazing jab that sets up his power punches.
