Hey no worries. But you will find Sanchez is the one who mentioned Shavers which you comented to. But anyway, no hard feelings or drama.
..john t..of course there are no hard feelings.....but can't i have a little drama? it's in my genes. i see that others are still posting non-obscure fighters anyway...the same ones over and over......so what the hell...this just means there are more illiterates than i thought re: the asterisks in my comment about sanchez...they make it look as if i said something worse than i actually did! for the record did not use any bad language...no curse words....nada.
The early version of Tyson, all in all black, was frightening. At times the look on his opponents face said it all!
Jeff Merritt ( looked like he had something - even broke Earnie Shavers Jaw in Sparring - but turned into a false Alarm)
Unless his opponent landed heavy leather first. Against lesser calibur fighters, though Earnie was generally very effective early.
Jeff Merritt had first-class power; Mike DeJohn was deadly as well, at least against limited opposition.
Jimmy Ellis yall,...Jimmy Ellis....something that Howie Cosell harped on in every Ellis fight that he called...was how dangerous Ellis was in the early rounds....what a fast starter he was.
