    Archie Moore could pull off the role well when it suited him. He wasn't always a laid back counter-puncher.

    A weird mention, unusual , I know, but I think Al Zamora was capable defensively, very good head movement, fast footwork, high hands, shoulders up for more protection.... ......I´m not saying he is great or something like that, but he is underrated defensively.....

    Gomez in his prime is maybe the best example I've seen.

    Some of the moves he pulls off against Yum are just incapable of being surpassed:

    Yeah, Gomez is a great mention !!

    In my opinion, Raul Macias is a good example as well.....but it is difficult to say because of the lack of footage......
