I just wanted to put up a few that have come about in the last couple of months,

CroCop - UFC contract did not give him a break after he proved himself clearly on the downslide. He became the gatekeeper for up-and-coming HWs with big punches, you have to give him credit for surviving to the late rounds on many of the fights.

Sakuraba - Was one of the Dream bannermen and had to face Melvin Manheof, Jason Miller and Zaromskis(lost his ear), basically some of the best of Dream at 170 and 185lbs. At 42 years old, faced undefeated 28-year old BJJ blackbelt Yan Cabral with predictable outcome.

Wanderlei Silva - Similar story to CroCop, could even be argued that he had it more difficult...wait, he is fighting Cung Le? nevermind

The answer is Sakuraba. That is just so sad, especially when you consider HE'S STILL FIGHTING AFTER ALMOST LOSING AN YEAR LAST YEAR AND HAVING NOT BEEN ****ING PAID FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS.

Mark Kerr deserves a mention too. So sad to see the shape he was in during his ''comeback'' a few years ago. A true shadow of his former self, trying to earn a few $'s for taking a beating for 3 minutes

Ken Shamrock is another legend who hung around too long and who went out on a sad note

Well said, maybe his career would have ended up the same after his WWE stint, but he would have got more respect if he'd spent those prime years in MMA where he belonged

Surprised nobody has mentioned Chuck Liddell, he was definitely not given the easy road after he lost the title

He'd have made a lot less money though.

FEG hasn't paid him for two years apparently according to a J-MMA agent on Mauro's show a few weeks ago.
