De La Hoya disappoints people in many ways at many different times inside and outside the ring.

Careful @Tim Witherspoon posts here and his overhand right still looks lethal!

Toney-McCallum II. None of the intensity of the first one.

Nunn-Kalambay. Kalambay had looked every bit as good as Nunn, maybe better, in 1988, so this looked like a potential classic.

I actually like Toney/McCallum II. It wasn't as good as the first one, but it was
    engrossing in its own right.

Rematches of classic first fights rarely live up to the hype generated by the first fight, so if we’re counting those then there’s a pretty long list. A few off the top of my head:
    Louis-Conn 2
    Marciano-Walcott 2
    Ali-Frazier 2
    Carbajal-Gonzalez 2
    Morales-Barrera 2
    Gatti-Ward 2

Yup I was in high school for this one. All everyone in my classes said was the fight sucked, boxing sucks, and Floyd lost

Honestly, I haven't seen that one, or at least fell asleep part way through it.

God, think of it.......Griffith and Monzon. Ew.

Griffith is for study, Monzon is for study. Together they make a laborious and educating fight for most people I agree.

When you know the outcome the smooth operators are hard to watch usually. At least in real time you can have money riding on it, hope they get caught, enjoy them handling slippery dynamite all night.

I won’t lie to you, I’ve never checked what round I’m up to more then when I’m watching Emile and it’s no knock he’s my favourite boxer some weeks it’s just he can be a tough viewing…

Tim Witherspoon was like that ….fighters that can do everything well …but nothing great …can be dull to watch …Tim Witherspoon is an acquired taste

    Tua/Lewis.

I thought perhaps Tua's pressure and power could wear down Lennox. After a couple of average right hands from the Big Dog Tua didn't want to take the risks necessary to make that a fight. In a sense he said No Mas.

Leonard was brilliant. His speed & moves were too much for fat, old Duran to handle

    why was Duran even fighting?

    Joe Louis vs Lou Nova.

a forgotten mega fight. After The Schmeling rematch I think it was the Best gate Louis had as champion that nobody talks about.

56,000 fans went to the polo grounds to watch Nova fight against Joe Louis.

Less fans went to watch Billy Conn against Joe Louis because Nova was given more of a chance to beat Joe Louis.

Aside from the Schmelling rematch it was the highest ever turn out for a Joe Louis title fight.

This was a fight of some magnitude. The receipts for Louis v nova was $583,711 and represented Joe Lous's second largest purse as a champion before the war.
